Lake is an explosive scoring guard who plays with fire in his feet and vision in his eyes. A true three-level weapon with a quick release and silky smooth touch, he stretches defenses with unlimited range, going 33-for-57 from deep over nine games at the Transylvania University team camp. That’s not just shooting, that’s scorching. But he’s far from a one-dimensional threat. Lake is fierce off the bounce with shifty handles, a punishing middy, and downhill blow-by speed that allows him to finish through contact or kick to open teammates with flair. He averaged 6 assists at that same camp, showing just how well he reads the floor. His motor never stops, whether it’s attacking in transition, locking in on defense, or crashing the glass for second chances. Every possession is played with intensity and intent, and he’s only getting stronger.

After recovering from injuries that limited his freshman year, Lake stormed back this past season, averaging 17 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds per game. His biggest imprisonment was his finishing ability, absorbing contact, staying healthy, and becoming a complete offensive threat. His sophomore year ended with an 18–8 record, a trip to the All-A State Tournament, and more milestones: over 1,000 career points, 350+ assists, 115+ threes, and 250+ rebounds. Breakout games include a 36-point explosion with 4 assists and 5 rebounds, a 32-point game with 5 assists and 6 boards, and a strong double-double of 19 points and 11 assists. Now, his focus is on building strength, boosting athleticism, and evolving every part of his game.

Lake plays with the BigShot Elite Blue Chips on the AAU circuit and embraces every opportunity to compete against top-tier programs. The live period is his proving ground, and each event is another step toward his goal, leading Elliott County to a 16th Region title. He thrives on pressure, especially when face guarded all game long, and handles adversity by trusting the grind and letting his work speak louder than words. The best coaching advice he ever received was, “Have amnesia.” Next play mentality, always. His motivation isn’t just stats or wins but rooted in faith. Lake is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and carries that purpose into everything he does. Off the court, he finds peace in family time, friendships, and keeping life centered.

I assess that Lake’s elite shooting, dazzling playmaking, and competitive edge make him a dynamic guard with real next-level potential. His court vision, toughness, and scoring efficiency create a foundation that college programs can build around.
