6’3, 160lbs, Class of 2026

Mauldin High School, SC

Nathan is a blazing-fast guard who thrives in chaos but plays with poise and control that’s rare. He’s a fierce three-level scorer who pushes the pace, sees the floor like a seasoned vet, and has a punishing middy that’s pure butter. His court vision is elite, and he threads the needle in transition, collapses defenses with penetration, and creates scoring chances with purpose. Nathan’s ability to control tempo while attacking off the bounce makes him a dangerous weapon, whether facilitating the break or breaking down a set defense. His explosive first step and fearless rim attacks turn defenders into spectators, but it’s his sweet pull-up game that keeps them honest. Add in a lethal three-ball and you’ve got a guard who can cook from anywhere.

This past season, Nathan averaged 14 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds per game while leading his team with energy, pace, and unshakable confidence. His biggest improvement came in elevating above defenders, literally, and using his speed to create better finishing angles and separation. This offseason, his focus is on getting stronger, adding weight to his frame, and becoming more effective playing off two feet. He’s also improving how he reads defenders off screens, aiming to bring more pace and power to every move he makes. The most impactful part of last season wasn’t a highlight, it was the growth of his team’s late-game control and how they learned to finish close battles. That maturity built his confidence and leadership.

Nathan is playing with TLBA UArise this summer, playing against high-level competition and putting every piece of his game under pressure. His goals are to keep getting better and win as many games as possible. He’s not focused on any one event because, to him, every game is an opportunity to prove he belongs. Heading into his senior season, he’s locked in on leaving it all on the court and getting on the radar of college programs that value toughness, vision, and grit. What fires him up most is trash talk. The moment someone runs their mouth, Nathan locks in even harder and lets his game do the talking.

He handles adversity with maturity, trusting his faith in God and the hours he’s already put into the game. The best advice he’s ever received is, “The test of a man isn’t how he gets adversity, it’s how he handles it.” That’s what fuels him. And as he continues to grow physically and evolve every tool in his arsenal, he knows his time is coming. He believes in his ability to play at the next level, it’s just a matter of growing fully into his frame and continuing to rise.

Nathan was named All-Region 1-5A and is only just beginning to scratch the surface of who he’s becoming.

I assess that Nathan is a dynamic guard with elite vision, a deadly midrange touch, and the pace to dictate a game from start to finish. His ability to break down defenses, drop dimes with precision, and create his own shot makes him a dual-threat backcourt asset. As his body continues to develop, his overall impact will only grow.

Expect Nathan to have a monster senior season. With added strength and a next-level mentality, he’s poised to become one of the most complete guards in the region. He brings speed, skill, leadership, and fire to every possession, and he’s ready to prove why he belongs at the next level. Stay tuned.
