David is a versatile, fearless competitor who plays with grit, energy, and relentless purpose. A dynamic scorer who can get downhill in a flash, he thrives on attacking the rim, finishing through contact, and creating space for his jumper when defenders back off. His ability to drive, shoot, and handle the ball makes him a constant offensive threat every time he touches it. Defensively, he plays with pride, whether it’s locking down the perimeter or protecting the paint with blocks and timely steals. David brings a physical edge on both ends and is learning how to lead with his voice as much as his hustle. He has the tools to impact the game from multiple positions and is committed to expanding his presence as a complete, two-way guard.
During the school season, David averaged 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks per game, proving he can fill up a stat sheet while being the backbone of his squad. His biggest leap came physically, embracing the weight room and transforming into a stronger, faster, and more athletic version of himself. His focus this offseason has been on consistency, especially becoming a go-to scorer in transition, finishing at all three levels, and staying sharp on defense. What fires him up most are the big plays: locking up a tough matchup, swatting a shot, forcing a turnover, or slashing to the rim for an and-one. Whether he’s talking on defense, disrupting passing lanes, or swinging the momentum with a key bucket, David plays with confidence and urgency.
In AAU, his goal was to become a better version of himself, and he did just that, putting in the work, building better habits, and elevating his value as a teammate. Coaches can count on him to communicate, compete, and attack on both ends with intent. He thrives in the moment, stays composed when adversity strikes, and plays like it could be his last time on the court, exactly as the best advice he’s received taught him.
Off the court, David enjoys pickup runs, spending time with friends and family, and simply being around the game. His passion is real, and it shows in how hard he plays and how much he cares about being better than he was yesterday.
I assess that David’s mix of slashing ability, defensive toughness, and growing confidence makes him a valuable backcourt piece who can step into any system and bring energy, effort, and impact. As he becomes more consistent and vocal, his ceiling will only rise.
With continued growth in leadership, transition play, and all-around scoring, David is on track to become one of the most complete guards in his class. Expect him to keep developing into a two-way force who can lead, lock up, and light it up. Stay tuned.
