6'2, 200lbs, Class of 2031

Wheaton HS, IL

Armand describes his game as fast, instinctive, electric, and adaptable. He's a multisport athlete who can escape a pass rush, send the ball deep, or turn an opening into a long touchdown run. He trusts his football knowledge, but he is just as willing to listen to a coach and adjust his approach when his team needs something different.

Through five games, Armand has thrown for 604 yards and 2 touchdowns while adding 406 yards and 5 scores on the ground. He's proud of that start, though his main focus is helping his team earn the highest playoff seed it can. He wants to build on it by making better decisions, trusting his instincts at quarterback, studying film, and continuing his work with QB coach Mike Ho.

One of Armand’s biggest moments came when he escaped the pass rush and broke free for an 80-yard touchdown. He also threw a 50-yard scoring pass and helped his team beat an opponent that entered the game undefeated. When defenders try to bring him down, he's willing to meet contact with force. His explosive plays can change a game in seconds, but he takes just as much pride in finding a way to help his team win.

Armand has seen his accuracy become more consistent since last season. He spent the offseason sharpening his deep ball while building more speed and power. Behind the scenes, he works on his dropbacks, footwork, and throwing mechanics. His head coach has helped him grow more confident before the snap, and Armand keeps working through his progressions once the ball is in his hands.

Leading a team means keeping his mind right when things get difficult, and Armand works to stay positive no matter what a game brings. Criticism on social media or at school fuels him to compete. He wants to make the playoffs, win a Super Bowl, and show how far his team can go together.

I assess that Armand brings a fierce presence that can make defenders hesitate when a play starts to break down. His ability to stay alive in the backfield gives his teammates time to get free, and he has the nerve to make a big play when the moment calls for one.

The little details will shape how high Armand can take his game this season. As his timing and choices continue to sharpen, he can give his offense more control from the opening snap to the final whistle. His willingness to take coaching gives him a strong path forward. Stay tuned.
