Trey is a dynamic mid-range assassin who is a master at slicing through the defense to get to his spots and a fierce finisher around the rim. Trey is a very strong and physical guard who thrives at finishing through contact. Trey loves fueling his teammates by getting them into the game with some sweet dimes. Trey brings some intense heat on defense, too. Trey is a tenacious defender who turns defense into offense with nasty steals and fast breaks off them. Trey's main focus on the game is to improve his 3 ball more consistently from a deeper range to be able to just come across the court and let it go. Another thing Trey has been trying to focus on is his pace in the game, knowing how and when to change pace throughout the game.
This past season, Trey averaged 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. Playing AAU for Commit 2, Achieve, Trey averaged 20 points and 8 rebounds per game. Si dar this season, Trey has really elevated his game even more, averaging 25 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals per game. Trey's biggest goals for this year are to win the conference and have a better record than last year while going further in the playoffs. Trey's main personal goals are to average 24+ a game and at least 5assistst a game. So fa,r so good. Trey thinks the biggest challenge for these goals is to just stay focused throughout the season and keep his teammates involved so their focused to achieve these goals.
Trey's biggest accomplishments are transferring to a school that won one game before he got there and then winning 12 games the following season and then 20 wins the next season and hopefully more this year. Trey would say another accomplishment was getting ranked in the top 20 for Bigshots this year; he has put in a lot of work to get notice,d and it all paid off.
The biggest game Trey is looking forward to this year is to play against Swansboro because they are the team to beat and won conference the last 2 years.
Trey thinks his team can make a very deep run this year because they have a lot of talent, and everyone plays very well together. Trey believes another factor in making a very deep run is that everyone is focused at all times and dialed in at practice while trying to get better every day.
What fires Trey up on the court is remembering why he’s playing the game and why he loves the game. Trey feels like everyone has to have a love for the game and a "why" for the game; there always gotta be a reason why you're playing.
When facing adversity, Trey doesn’t let it get him down; he stays focused and tells himself it will all pay off in the end.
The best piece of advice Trey has ever been given is, "There’s gotta be a reason why you love the game; you can’t just be out there playing to be playing; you gotta be doing it for a reason."
Trey's hobbies when he isn't on the court are fishing, playing video games, and working out.
Trey thinks that for him to achieve his goal of playing at the next level, he needs to keep putting in work and stay focused on his goals. Trey already holds offers from Rivier University, Dean College, and North Vermillion College. Trey also has interest from Shaw University, Lees McRae University, Peru State College, Carolina University, and Pitt CC.
