Carter is an electric combo guard who is physical and extremely athletic. Carter is a triple-threat scoring machine with unlimited range and a silky smooth release. Carter has strong ball-handling ability and a shifty array of moves that drops defenders or freezes them in their tracks. Add blow-by speed and sneaky mad hops for ruthless finishes at the rim for powerful jams. Carter is versatile enough to play the 1 or the 2, thrives with the ball in his hands, and can put up points in a hurry, always looking to play in transition and get quick buckets. Carter is a beast on the boards and can drop a nice dime. Carter's defense makes him special, giving maximum effort on defense by playing up the line and communication. Carter turns defense into offense in a flash of steals to fuel those fast break points he enjoys so much.
This past season Carter averaged 24.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.2 steals per game while shooting 44.7 % from the field. Carter ended the season with 1,646 points and has broken 9 school records along the way:
. Game-
Points (50) 3PT Makes (12) Assists (13) Steals (8) Season- 3PT Makes (101) Free Throw Makes (164)
Career- 3PT Makes (213) Free Throw Makes (323) Brother Scoring w/Keaton Wollan (2,071)
Carter has also earned :
:3x All-Conference
2x Conference Scoring Leader 1x All State
The most motivating thing that will push Carter this coming season was losing in the 2nd round of playoffs last year to the eventual sectional champion. They are going to give their best effort to make some noise in the postseason this year. With Carter leading the way. Carter's personal goals for this upcoming season are
To earn the Middle Border Player of the Year. WBCA 1st Team All-State. While helping his team be Conference Champions.
Playing AAU for the Wisconsin Playmakers Carter was focused on improving his shooting consistency and his midrange game for the upcoming season.
What fuels Carter's fire the most on the court is getting a small lead, having the determination to extend it, and then taking all the momentum in a game.
Carter handles adversity on the court by having a “next play” mindset and focusing on what he can control.
What separates Carter from others is his effort. Everyone in the gym hears Carter talking on defense, he dives for loose balls, and he cuts hard on offense.
Carter sees himself as a D2 or 3 player because of his size and how he plays his position.
I assess that this extremely gifted athlete can excel on any level he chooses. Carter will impact a program pretty quickly with all the intangibles to match his incredible skill set. Carter is the total package and tested leader who will thrive on the next level with the right fit. It's going to be a breakout season as Carter is playing with purpose and goals that will push him to deliver the best season we have seen from him yet, going out with guns blazing. So sit back with your popcorn ready, it's gonna be a show worth watching.
