Landon Vaughan, landonjvaughan, Twitter-, landonjacevaughan, 6'9, 185, c/o 25 from Bandys Points High School, NC is a match-up nightmare as he can beat and punish defenders with his triple threat scoring ability. With a full bag of tricks Lanson can really run the floor well, keep the ball high, can shoot from anywhere on the court, high free throw percentage, has soft touches on shots, and is super competitive. With nice handles, Landon is effective off the bounce getting to that mid-range and using his length to shoot over nearly any defender. . A beast around the rim with really good footwork. works for those boards hard on both ends. A solid defender again with his length being his strength.
This past season Landon averaged 19.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks. What inspired Landon the most was losing in the 3rd round of the NCHSAA Playoffs. In the AAU session playing for the Carolina Riptide 2025 Ladon is averaging a consistent double-double. In the games I saw, he was a difference maker with energy and hustle dominating the paint area while his versatility pulled the big defenders away from the lane opening up the offense for this loaded team. A quiet leader that just works. In the upcoming season, Landon wants to be a better teammate to help his team get as many wins as possible. What fuels Landon's fire the most is simply the drive to win. Even when facing adversity, Landon will say something to himself and get over that moment or play quickly, next play mentality so he can get back to focusing on getting that win.
LandonI is taller than most and can score from anywhere on the floor. and has a team-first mentality and likes high competition. These are strengths any coach can count on every minute Landon is on the floor. Sees himself playing D2 or D3 is very likely, but would be happy with anything. I assess that Landon understands his skill level well and will be a nice fit for a D2 and a steal for any D3. Quick and scrappy he impacts every game playing within himself. Never forces shots and makes everything he does flow within the offense. It was fun watching him work. Keep an eye on him this upcoming season.
