Jaxon Estridge @estridge_jaxon , 6'2 , 160 , c/o 25 combo guard from Prestonsburg High School, KY is a fierce competitive stud that performs well on both ends. Very unselfish and a pass first facitilitator but can light it up with the best in the state. Jaxon has developed into one of the top players in 25 class and his stock continues to rise. A silky smooth touch from downtown. Electric off the bounce with a high IQ takes smart shots for himself or thread the needle passes for cutting or open teammates. Jaxon is crafty and creative with excellent court vision. A strong finisher . Makes pretty good cuts in his own rite. Jaxon mixes it up well on the boards and is a relentless defender, scrappy and tenacious.
Last season Jaxon played limited minutes on JV but was the best defender on the team. Playing behind a strong senior class , Jaxon just did what he could with time given while working hard preparing for his moment. But during the AAU session Jaxon started to really stand out being one of the most important players on that team( D&D Mountain Elite averaging 14 points, 6 rebounds , 4 assists and 4 steals per game. Jaxons favorite memory was winning the " Thin Blue Line Classic" to raise money for fallen officers. Jaxson's biggest improvement has been his confidence he developed from getting in the gym multiple times a day with an insane work ethic to improve his skills more and more. Its paying off, in the last 6 games Jaxon is averaging 12-14 points shooting 41.2 % from three, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals per game . In his last two Jaxson scored 19 and 17 points respectively. Jaxon's goal is to help his team win the district championship and a 20+ win season.
What coaches need to know is that Jaxon has a constant high motor and a relentless work ehtic on both ends of the floor you can count on every second he is on that cort. Jaxson loves making his teammates better and adding his own skills that are outstanding and he is truly getting better and better every single day. His stock is rising because his hard work is being clearly seen. At this moment I see Jaxon as a solid D2 with a high ceiling and potential to rise even higher. Jaxson sees himself as a D2, D3 or NAIA at this time but is hungry to see how high he can fly. Just wants to keep playing and being the best version of himself that he can. Get to KY and see this young star getting it done out there.
Thank you so much for your write up on Jaxon 🐾❤️ #proudmom
