Joey is a pure sniper, an elite shooting specialist with unlimited range, a lightning-quick release, and a lethal touch from deep. When he gets even a sliver of space, it’s already too late. He’s a catch-and-shoot killer who thrives in rhythm, lighting up defenses from well beyond the arc and flipping momentum with every bucket. But Joey’s game isn’t just built on buckets. He’s got a strong handle, a high-level basketball IQ, and the confidence to take over when it matters. He’s fearless on defense and constantly working on his strength, living in the weight room to add muscle and durability. What separates him from other guards is his deep bag as a shooter, he stretches the floor like few others can, giving his team a scoring weapon that forces defenses to extend and scramble.
Joey averaged 3.5 points per game at Oak Creek while firing at a scorching 40% from three. On the AAU circuit with 24:Up, his role expanded, and his production skyrocketed, averaging 14 points per game and continuing to knock down triples with elite efficiency. His biggest improvement was the speed of his release, now getting shots off faster than ever and punishing slow closeouts. This offseason, Joey’s locked in on attacking the rim more and being stronger with the ball through contact. His spark off the bench and ability to shoot with confidence in-game were crucial moments last season, and now, he’s ready to take on a much larger role. His goal is to lead Oak Creek both vocally and by example, becoming a steady force and a go-to guy under pressure.
Joey’s AAU journey is all about exposure and elevation. Competing in NY2LA and Prep Hoops tournaments, he’s looking to average over 12 points per game while continuing to shoot a high percentage and stack media coverage along the way. His goals are clear: make an impact, lead his team, and grow into the complete guard college coaches want. Once that first shot goes down, he’s locked in and ready to put on a show. And when facing adversity, Joey resets, he doesn’t dwell on mistakes. He moves on, adapts, and keeps his foot on the gas.
The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, "Stay the course and enjoy the process." Joey’s built for the grind, staying focused, keeping faith, and showing up ready every single time he steps on the floor.
Joey brings value to any lineup with his floor-spacing ability and shot-making consistency. His quick release, deep range, and unshakable confidence make him a dangerous weapon in modern basketball schemes, and his ongoing physical development will only raise his ceiling.
As Joey continues to expand his offensive versatility and gain strength, expect his role and reputation to grow rapidly. He’s a tough-minded competitor with the tools to take over games and a mindset that refuses to back down. The fire’s lit, and he’s just getting started. Stay tuned.
