Brumbaugh is a tall and lanky triple threat, who possesses crafty moves and a velvety soft touch. He slices through the lane and uses his length to get off any shot he wants. He has amazing footwork and very strong handles with nice speed off the bounce. This kid can literally score from anywhere on the court even with a defender in his face. He plays with an intense motor on both offense and defense, and he is just flat out relentless.  He wears down his opponents as the game goes on with his scoring, rebounding, passing and sneaky steals.

This past season, he averaged 17.5 points per game while shooting 57% from the floor (94/164), 38% from 3 (66/173), and 81/% from the FT line (70/86) adding 5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game helping lead his team to the state championship game, which earned him:

1st All-State KSHAA

1st Team All- State KBCA

1st Team All-State Sports KS

Player of the Year Finalist KSHAA

Player of the Year Finalist Sports in KS

Top Scorer in the 3A State Tournament

Brady and company came up a little short in the state championship game, and that left him with a very bad taste in his mouth. He has put in a ton of work this offseason, and this time his plan is to cut down that net!  He has focused on grabbing more rebounds and playing at an even faster tempo, really trying to kick it up a notch and take his game to a whole other level. That is just a flat out scary thought! He has worked very hard this AAU season on improving his footwork.

What really impresses me about this kid, is he is just a flat out DOG. He plays with heart and tenacity and he absolutely hates to lose. People will always have something to say, whether it be his doubters and haters who say he is from a “small town” or “he is too skinny” blah blah blah….YAWN.  I say, I would keep my mouth shut and not say anything to even further add gasoline to the fire that burns deep inside this kid. He plays with an intense passion and purpose, yet he never talks trash. He does his talking on the scoreboard.  He plays with a serious chip on his shoulder, and yet he isn’t even the slightest bit cocky. There is a big difference between being cocky and being confident.

When things aren't going his team’s way, you won’t see him rattle. He simply focuses, takes a deep breath and fully locks in. That is what a leader does. Period. He fully understands you can’t get a bad play back, but you can make the necessary changes on the fly to make certain you fix those mistakes.  Again, that is what a leader does.

This kid is the definition of a “gym rat.” He puts in the work. That daily grind is what makes him special. You can’t teach work ethic. That is either in you, or it’s not. He literally spends countless hours working hard to master his craft. He said he sees himself playing Juco, D2 or D1. He is constantly competing with older and better players and that only forces him to get better. Iron sharpens iron!

My personal assessment is that Brady will thrive on any level he plays. His size and shooting ability makes him a valuable asset to any team. He is a high level, rare talent that's going to make an immediate impact.  Talent, plus heart, plus passion? Now add in work ethic and folks, this kid is going to be problems.  What is a scary though is he has not even come close to reaching his full potential. His ceiling is very high and he will no doubt rise to the top of any program, within very little time. Remember the name!
