Jay is a high IQ point guard who is crafty off the bounce with a shifty change of pace, slicing his way into the lane and able to go get his shots. Jay is a ruthless catch-and-shoot sniper from three lands. Jay plays at his own pace not getting sped up by any defender to get to his spots. Jay uses good court vision to make timely passes to fuel his teammates.

Motivation from last year that will push Jay forward was losing in the Kansas State Championship game after winning it the previous year. Jay is determined to get his team in that position again and to finish the business this time. Jay's goal is to become a better leader for the new guys because they will be critical to their team's success.

From the beginning of his AAU career, Jay has always played one age division up and been exposed to higher competition. In the past year, Jay became the best shooter, percentage-wise, on his team. This session Jay averaged 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists while shooting around 40% from 3.

One thing that fuels Jay and fires him up is representing the front of the jersey and the community that supports them. The name on the front is a big thing for Jay. Jay is always ready to go and play with a high motor from the start.

When adversity hits Jay first calms down to allow his mind to do its work. Then he tries different alternatives and gets involved in many ways. A good example would be if he gets in foul trouble being a leader and using his voice to guide his teammates helping in any way possible.

Coaches can rely on Jay for his work ethic and commitment to getting better every day, mentally and physically. Jay will do the extra things to make him successful on and off the court. Jay is accountable in the classroom and on the court, coaches never have to worry about his academics.

Jay sees himself at a D2 or a Juco to start off but eventually, he wants to play D1. Jay thinks for him to develop he needs to get adjusted to the speed of the game.

I assess Jay as a proven winner and a passionate leader who will thrive in any place he lands with the understanding learning and development never stop. Jay will put in the work required to elevate his game over time. Jay could impact a D2 and stand out at the right Juco system while he pushes for the highest level he can reach. The stage is set for a magical season and a championship push with Jay leading the way. Stay tuned all.
