Ben steps on the floor with a game that refuses to be boxed in. Versatile, competitive, and built to impact both ends, he brings the total package every time out. He can score at all three levels, attack off the bounce, clean up the boards, and make the kind of plays that swing momentum. It’s not just about putting points on the board, either; it’s about doing whatever it takes to win the possession in front of him.

That showed up in a major way at the Grassroots Showcase in a game that never gave anyone a chance to breathe. It was a straight battle, physical, fast, and full of pressure from start to finish. Ben didn’t try to force anything. He stayed composed, locked into effort and smart decisions, and let the game come to him. The result was a strong 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists, built on efficiency and control. Every bucket mattered, every rebound counted, and every decision had purpose.

When the momentum started swinging back and forth, that’s where his understanding of the game stood out. He read the floor, trusted the flow, and made the right play over and over again. No wasted movement, no rushed moments, just steady production in a game where one mistake could flip everything.

That balance between aggression and control is what makes his game so effective. He knows when to go get a bucket and when to create for others. He picks his spots, trusts his instincts, and lets the game unfold instead of forcing it. That approach keeps defenses guessing and opens up everything around him.

Back at the high school level, that same growth showed up in a big way. Earning Newcomer of the Year wasn’t just a title; it was a reflection of how quickly he stepped into a bigger role and delivered. As the season went on, his confidence grew, his impact expanded, and he became a player his team could rely on in key moments.

Adversity hit along the way like it always does, but Ben didn’t waver. He stayed disciplined, stayed locked into the work, and kept pushing forward. That mindset is what allowed his game to keep evolving and his impact to keep growing.

Now that AAU is rolling, the focus is to keep proving he can impact winning at a high level, keep stacking performances, and keep showing that his game translates no matter the stage or competition.

When coaches turn on the film, they’re going to see a player who brings energy, toughness, and consistency every time he steps on the floor. A player who doesn’t need everything to run through him to make a difference, but can take over when the moment calls for it.

I assess that Ben’s versatility is what separates him. His ability to score, rebound, and make smart plays on both ends gives him real value in any lineup. He plays with control, understands the game, and consistently makes winning plays without forcing action.

As he continues to grow into his role and build on his skill set, Ben has the tools to become a high-impact player at the next level. His balance of aggression and decision-making, combined with his toughness and consistency, gives him a strong foundation. Expect him to keep elevating his game and becoming even more reliable in big moments moving forward. Ben is just scratching the surface of his full potential. Stay tuned to see just how high he can fly.
