Day is a prolific triple threat punisher who is crafty and explosive off the bounce and delivers some fierce finishes.  He can masterfully deliver dimes in a dynamic fashion, with his strong court vision.  He often will hit threes a couple of feet behind the 3PT line which makes defenders stay honest.  He flat out forces a defender to have to come out to guard him. He sees the entire floor and uses a high game IQ and sharp handles to get downhill and into the seams.

Last season he averaged 17.5 points per game while shooting a blistering 41% from 3PT land, and had 10 games where he delivered 20+ Points. His team lost in the District Finals last year, and that motivated him to work even harder to not allow history to repeat itself. He felt he played the worst game he played all season in that District Championship game, and he vowed to not allow that to ever happen again. His goal for this season is to win the District Championship and try his best to be named the Saginaw Valley League MVP along the way.

Easton plays for Real Basketball 17U for AAU, and his main focus this Summer was to land his first offer, which he did.  He is constantly working on his leadership skills, knowing that the point guard has to command the offense. He is a high energy player that instills that passion into his teammates. When bad plays happen, he knows to have short term memory and always reminds his teammates to do the same. in.

When asked what a coach can expect from him, he said “a guy that is never going to quit, a guy who will always give it everything he has and a guy who will remain poised under pressure. and will always do what’s right for the team.” The only stat he said he cares about is getting that dub.

He believes he can play at the D1 level in college.  My assessment backs up his belief. He absolutely has all the intangibles that can’t be taught. He has a relentless swagger to match his shooting ability and athleticism. He excels in multiple ways and understands very well how to lead his team.  He positively has the talent to be a difference maker at the next level.
