"Built for the Big Moment: A Live Arm, Fast Feet, and Command of the Huddle"

Caden has developed into a dynamic dual-threat quarterback who can hurt a defense with his arm, his legs, and the confidence he brings into the huddle. He has the arm strength to push the football downfield, the accuracy to work underneath, and 4.6 speed that makes him dangerous when he takes off. Caden also takes pride in being a leader who can take control when his offense comes together, and that command has continued to grow as he's gained experience running the show.

His sophomore season gave everyone an early look at what he could bring as a young starter, throwing for 1,093 yards and eight touchdowns while adding 186 yards and another score on the ground for 1,279 total yards. Earning OVO Player of the Month was a big achievement, but building chemistry with a receiving group he's known for most of his life meant just as much to him. Learning their timing, understanding where they like the football, and growing together helped create a stronger connection that carried into the work they put in over the summer.

Caden has opened his junior year completing 27/44 passes for 194 yards and a touchdown through the first two games, connecting on 61 percent of his attempts. His feet have been a major weapon as well, turning 25 carries into 155 rushing yards and another trip to the end zone. Whether the answer is making the throw or pulling the ball down and running, he's shown he can find different ways to keep the offense moving.

Becoming a junior captain has pushed Caden to raise his voice and take even more responsibility for the guys around him. Leadership has become one of his biggest improvements because he understands there are moments when his teammates need to hear from their quarterback. His confidence throwing the football has also taken a jump, and he believes he's better prepared to deliver when his team needs a play through the air or with his legs.

That growth didn't happen without Caden having to earn his way through a difficult challenge early in his varsity career. He made varsity as a freshman before taking over as the starting quarterback during his sophomore year, putting a young signal caller in charge of teammates who were older and more experienced. Not everyone accepted him immediately, and that taught him that respect couldn't

be forced just because he played quarterback. Caden learned to stay focused, put the team first, and show through his actions that his teammates could count on him when it mattered.

The offseason was about building an even stronger connection with a new group of receivers and becoming calmer inside the pocket. Caden spent the summer working with them to get the timing right, and those extra reps are already helping everything come together. He also worked on staying poised instead of leaving too early, learning to trust the protection and escape only when the situation calls for it.

Caden's fire comes from wanting to be the best and carrying a fierce desire to beat whoever lines up across from him. He's always enjoyed putting in work when nobody is watching because those quiet hours give him a chance to sharpen his game without needing attention for it. That competitive drive keeps him pushing because winning matters to him, and he knows preparation gives him the best chance to deliver when Friday night arrives.

A big part of Caden's effectiveness starts before the football ever reaches his hands because he studies the defense from top to bottom. He checks the number of safeties and their depth, looks at whether the corners are playing inside or outside shade, and pays attention to the matchups available across the field. His eyes then move toward the box to identify the defensive front, linebacker alignment, and any movement that could give away what is coming. Those reads help him get a clearer picture of where to attack and give him another advantage before the play begins.

A coach can expect Caden to bring consistency, maximum effort, and a steady presence when the pressure rises. He wants the football in his hands when a big play is needed and believes his ability to stay composed gives his teammates confidence in those moments. Controlling the huddle holds real importance to him because being a quarterback is about more than making throws, and Caden embraces the responsibility that comes with having the offense looking to him for direction.

I assess that Caden brings an electric combination of passing ability and running danger that forces defenses to account for him across the entire field. His strong arm lets him stretch the field and drop a bomb to deeper targets, while his touch underneath allows him to take what coverage gives him, and once he gets into open space, his speed can quickly turn a broken play into big yardage. His pre-snap awareness stands out because he is already searching for clues in the secondary and front before deciding where the best attack may be.

The biggest difference in Caden's game is the maturity beginning to show in how he handles the quarterback position. He's becoming more comfortable standing tall in the pocket, trusting his reads and knowing when his athletic ability needs to take over rather than immediately looking to run. Being handed captain duties as a junior speaks to how far his voice has come, while the adversity he faced as a young starter taught him how to earn belief through actions. With a versatile skill set, strong competitive edge, and growing control of the offense, Caden has everything he needs to keep making his mark as the season unfolds. Stay tuned.
