Brandon electric, composed, and built to command the field as a catcher that leaves a lasting impression. With explosive hips, fierce hands, and a dynamic presence behind the plate, he brings a fire to the game that can’t be taught. Every pitch, every inning, every throw down to second is laced with the same intensity, whether it’s the first pitch of the game or the final one in a doubleheader, his energy never dips. What sets Brandon apart is not just his ability to frame, block, and throw, it’s his game awareness, leadership, and unshakable focus. He’s the steady anchor every pitcher dreams of working with, and he’s always one step ahead, crafty in his pitch calling, sharp in his execution, and versatile enough to impact the game in every way imaginable.
Brandon finished his last high school season batting an jaw-dropping .515 with 34 hits, 2 home runs, 28 RBIs, and 13 stolen bases in just 66 at-bats. This spring, he’s batting .667 with 12 hits, a homer, and 9 RBIs in only 18 at-bats, highlighting not just consistency, but continued growth. His biggest improvement has come from advancing the mechanics of his swing, building a deep understanding of how to generate controlled power through stretch and separation. His offseason was dedicated to elevating these details, and the results are speaking loud and clear. Not making the all-region team only added fuel to the fire as he plays like he’s got something to prove, and that chip on his shoulder shows up in his hunger to win, fierce competitiveness, and relentless pursuit of growth. Brandon visualizes every at-bat before he steps in the box and approaches each moment like a pro, because to him, baseball is more than a sport. It’s a classroom of failure and a space to grow stronger. His motivation comes from the game itself, what it teaches, what it demands, and what it gives in return.
I assess that Brandon is a catcher that brings impact from every angle, offensively and defensively. His ability to hit for average and power while managing a pitching staff with poise and precision makes him a major addition for any college program. He elevates those around him through leadership, energy, and an obsession with doing the little things right. Any staff that develops players and thrives on toughness and character will find a perfect fit in Brandon.
As he continues to build physically and improve his craft, expect Brandon’s ceiling to rise even higher. With his elite work ethic, love for learning, and ability to process the game at a high level, he has the potential to become one of the most complete catchers in his class. He plays with his hair on fire and heart on display and he’s only getting better. This young starvis cookin' in the box and behind the plate. He is only scratching the surface of how high his potential truly is. Stay tuned as his best is yet to come.
