6'7, 220lbs, Class of 2026

Cleveland District State HS, Queensland, Australia

Mannie is a dominant forward who lives in the heart of the game. A high motor force that never fades, he brings grit, toughness, and purpose to every possession. He is built to do the dirty work that wins games, battling through contact, attacking the boards, and impacting both ends without needing flash to make noise. His physicality and athleticism show up immediately, but what separates him is how he combines that strength with awareness, discipline, and a team-first mindset. Mannie is a true three-level scorer who can punish defenders on the block, finish through traffic, rise confidently hitting the middy, and step out when needed. He rebounds with intent, defends with edge, passes out of the post with vision, and plays within a system while still imposing his will.

Mannie is averaging 18.9 points, 17 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game, while adding 3.2 blocks and 1.7 steals in 33 minutes. He is shooting a blistering 65 percent from the field and 45 percent from three, though most of his damage comes from finishes at the rim and midrange work, with limited three-point attempts in national competition. His biggest improvement from last season came through confidence and conditioning. Daily reps built belief in his outside shot, while time spent living in the weight room reshaped his body, dropping to 209lbs, adding strength, and unlocking stamina. That improved fitness allowed his mind to stay sharp, his reads to stay clean, and his athleticism to show up late in games when others faded.

This offseason is about flow and control. Mannie is focused on tightening his handles so his game moves even smoother, while continuing to build on his shooting and all-around impact. Doubt has been fuel, pushing him to prove people wrong while working just as hard to prove believers right. He carries that edge into competition and does not forget matchups, already circling a future rematch with Roman Siulepa of Pittsburgh University.

Coaches can expect full energy, constant communication, and a player who will put his body on the line to secure the ball and make winning plays.

What fires him up is being counted out, trash talk directed at him or his teammates, and moments when effort swings momentum. Big finishes, shots in someone’s face, and pin blocks ignite him, but so do teammates scoring and locking in defensively. Adversity is met with composure and trust in the work, guided by lessons that emphasize controlling energy, effort, and attitude, letting offense flow naturally, and embracing the mindset of being a dog on every possession. Mannie takes pride in his work ethic, his character, and representing his family and program with purpose. He loves the game deeply and is driven by the desire to be the best version of himself.

Looking ahead, Mannie is preparing to sign with the NBL1 NGC Seahawks at just 18 years old, ready to test himself against stronger competition and show the world what he can do. He plans to play college basketball this coming fall and holds D1, D2, and junior college interest. He is also set to compete for the FIBA Tongan National team once paperwork is finalized. Off the court, his competitive spirit stays active through AFL, rugby, soccer, table tennis, chess, and the occasional video game. Over the last three years, his high school teams have compiled a 50 wins and 7 losses record, a reflection of the impact he brings every time he steps on the floor.

I assess that Mannie’s combination of size, motor, physical play, and feel for the game gives him the ability to impact winning immediately. His rebounding, interior presence, passing touch, and willingness to do the tough work make him a valuable piece for programs that value effort, toughness, and smart basketball.

With continued growth in ball control and continued confidence as a scorer, Mannie projects as a powerful forward whose game that continues that continues to expand.. His work ethic, competitive edge, and all-around production point to a player ready to embrace higher competition and continue climbing as opportunities open. Stay tuned.
