Liberal Arts & Sciences Academy, TX

Committed to Texas A&M University- Texarkana

Charlie Mosier didn't need a grand speech to feel at home at Texas A&M University–Texarkana. The way the coaches welcomed him when he stepped on campus told him plenty. Their warmth made the visit personal, and the more he saw, the easier it became to picture himself wearing an Eagles uniform.

The fit made sense on the court, too. Charlie can stretch the floor with his shooting and use his length in Coach Parker’s game plan. He saw a place where his strengths could help the team while he continued to grow as a player. That combination of a welcoming staff and a role he believed in made Texarkana feel like the right choice.

Getting to that decision took honest thought. Charlie admitted there were moments when he was scared of making the wrong choice. He worked through that fear by listening to his gut and choosing the step that felt right for his future. His family stood with him through the difficult moments, and his relationship with God gave him strength when he needed it.

His commitment hasn't changed what he wants from his senior season. Charlie loves basketball, and that love will keep him locked in as he works on his game. He wants to break the single-game record for threes, make a deep playoff run with his teammates, and leave everything he has on the court. More than anything, he wants to make memories with the people who have shared this journey with him.

When Charlie gets to Texarkana, he wants the coaches and fans to see someone ready to work for the team. He is committed to growing as a player and doing his part to help the program succeed. For him, making the decision was one step; showing up and giving the team his best will be the next.

Charlie also has a message for younger athletes chasing their own dream. Stay committed, even when your path looks different from somebody else’s. Nobody can promise what tomorrow will bring, but you can choose what you give today.

Charlie’s touch from deep can open driving lanes when defenders have to stay close to him. His ability to make a defense account for him beyond the arc should give his teammates more room to attack.

Charlie’s reach could help him contest shots and finish defensive possessions with rebounds. The work he puts into those parts of his game will matter as he earns trust and finds his place with the Eagles.
