There’s something dangerous about a player that combines size, shot-making, confidence, and nonstop effort all into one package. That’s exactly what Cameron brings every single time he steps on the floor. Defenders can’t relax for a second because the moment they do, the ball is already splashing through the net from deep, attacking off the bounce, or getting finished at the rim. Cameron has turned himself into a true three-level scorer who attacks the game aggressively.

What separates Cameron from a lot of players is how much his game expanded this past season. Early in his varsity career, he was more known as a shooter waiting for opportunities to come his way. This year was completely different. The ball was in his hands more, the trust from coaches increased, and Cameron answered by taking complete advantage of every opportunity placed in front of him. That confidence translated into a breakout junior season where he averaged 12.3 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game while earning Team Captain honors along with 1st Team All-Conference recognition in the OK White.

Once Cameron started stacking confidence early in the season, everything offensively began opening up. A couple explosive 20-point games early in the year showed him exactly what kind of player he could become when he stayed aggressive and trusted himself. Then came the moment that stamped his season with a signature memory. A rival game with a district atmosphere, with pressure-packed possessions. Cameron rose up and rained in a game-winning three against their rival that instantly became one of the biggest moments of his season. Those are the moments certain players dream about. Cameron embraced it and delivered.

His ability to catch fire from deep in a hurry has become one of the most dangerous parts of his game. Defenders know if he gets even the smallest amount of space, the scoreboard can change quickly. That confidence didn’t magically appear overnight either. It came through endless reps, constant training, and trusting the work he put in long before the lights came on. Cameron carries himself with the belief that every shot he takes has a chance to drop, and that mentality changes the way teams have to guard him.

Forest Hills Northern also played a major role in helping elevate his game. Cameron spoke highly about Coach Soules and the culture built inside the program. Competing every day against talented teammates forced him to constantly improve and sharpen his competitive edge. Iron battling iron every single day helped prepare him for the bigger moments once the season arrived.

Like every player chasing another level, adversity eventually showed up, too. Around Christmas, Cameron hit a rough stretch where shots simply weren’t falling. A few difficult games tested his confidence and forced him to battle mentally through frustration. Instead of letting it break him, he stayed confident, trusted his work, and kept attacking. That response says a lot about who he is as a player because scorers eventually hit nights where things don’t go smoothly. The difference-makers are those who refuse to stop believing in themselves.

Now, the AAU season has brought another opportunity for Cameron to continue building momentum. After helping his squad finish 3-1 during GBL Session 1 while averaging 13.3 points per game, he took things even higher last weekend at the Bill Hensley Run N Slam, where he exploded for 19 points per game over 4 games against strong competition. The confidence keeps rising. The offensive bag keeps expanding. The production keeps speaking loudly for itself.

Heading deeper into the summer, Cameron is focused on continuing to improve offensively and defensively while proving he belongs among the best players in Michigan’s 2027 class. Building relationships with college coaches and earning scholarship opportunities remain major goals, and his consistent production is continuing to put him on more radar screens.

When college coaches watch Cameron, they’re going to see nonstop effort, toughness, confidence, and a player willing to compete every possession. They’re going to see somebody capable of changing a game quickly with his scoring ability while continuing to improve every part of his game. Most importantly, they’re going to see a player whose best basketball is still ahead of him.

I assess that Cameron is a dangerous scoring weapon with size, confidence, and the ability to catch fire quickly from anywhere on the floor. His offensive versatility creates matchup problems because he can score at all three levels while also handling increased responsibility with the ball in his hands. His aggressive mentality completely changed the way he impacted games this season. Add in his work ethic and competitive edge, and Cameron is becoming a serious problem for defenses.

Cameron’s ceiling continues to rise because of the way his game keeps evolving. The combination of shot-making, size, confidence, and relentless effort gives him the tools to continue rising on the recruiting radar. His ability to respond to adversity, embrace leadership, and deliver in pressure moments says a lot about the direction he’s headed. As he keeps adding to his overall game and continues producing against strong competition, Cameron has the tools to become a very intriguing college prospect with a bright future ahead. Stay tuned.
