Ben is a versatile, dynamic two-way force who combines bounce, athleticism, and length to make life miserable for opponents on both ends of the floor. Whether he is attacking the rim, stretching defenses with his range, crashing the boards, or locking down defensively, Ben brings a level of intensity and competitiveness that refuses to go unnoticed.
At 6’3 with strength, physicality, and a nonstop motor, Ben punishes defenders in multiple ways. Known for his shooting range, he can space the floor and rain in shots from deep, but his offensive arsenal goes much deeper. He is just as dangerous putting the ball on the floor, slashing downhill with purpose, or rising up for a smooth pull-up middy. When defenders try to crowd him, he uses his strength and athleticism to power through traffic and finish strong at the rim. His ability to score from inside or out keeps defenses constantly guessing.
Ben also thrives in the areas that many players overlook. Defense and rebounding are the foundation of his game, and he embraces the physical battles that come with both. His tenacious defensive swagger causes chaos for opposing offenses as he pressures the ball, jumps passing lanes, and uses his length to disrupt plays. That same intensity shows up on the boards where he fights for position, tracks down rebounds, and helps his team secure extra possessions.
Beyond scoring and defense, Ben brings strong court awareness and vision. He has the ability to read defenses and deliver timely passes that create opportunities for teammates, dropping sweet dimes when defenders collapse on his drives. His overall skill set allows him to impact the game in several different ways rather than relying on just one strength.
His junior season was a major step forward and proof of the growth in his game. Lafayette finished with a 16-12 record, their best season since 2017, and earned the 2 seed heading into postseason play. Ben was a major reason for that success as he averaged 14.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1.2 blocks while shooting an efficient 51.2 percent from the field. Those numbers earned him All-11th Region Honorable Mention recognition and showed how valuable his all-around impact has become.
One of the biggest improvements in his game has been his offensive confidence. A year ago, he was known primarily as a defensive specialist, but this season, his scoring production doubled as he became one of his team's main offensive options. Learning when to attack and when to slow the pace has been a key focus for him, and the experience of reading defenses throughout the season has added another weapon to his overall game.
What fuels Ben’s fire is the energy that comes from big moments. A powerful one finish, a clutch defensive stop, or a momentum-shifting play instantly sparks his competitive spirit and lifts the entire team around him. That passion for the game is also fueled by something deeper. In moments of adversity, Ben turns to God for guidance and strength, trusting that every challenge and lesson is part of a greater plan. Through both strong performances and difficult games, his faith continues to keep him grounded and focused.
Off the court, Ben thrives on competition and learning. He loves pushing himself against teammates and opponents alike because it forces him to grow and improve. He also values learning from those around him who have more experience or knowledge, always searching for ways to elevate his game and reach the next level.
Playing with KY Future Elite on the travel circuit continues to give him opportunities to compete and sharpen his skill set against strong competition. As he moves forward, one of his main areas of development is becoming an even more consistent three-point shooter. Expanding that part of his game will open even more driving lanes and scoring opportunities, making him an even tougher matchup for defenders. With a combination of toughness, athletic ability, defensive grit, and growing offensive confidence, Ben is continuing to develop into a complete player. His ability to impact the game in multiple ways makes him a valuable piece for his team and a name that should continue drawing attention as he keeps pushing his game forward.
I assess that Ben brings a balanced and versatile skill set that allows him to impact the game on both ends of the floor. His athleticism, strength, and length create a defensive presence that disrupts opponents while also making him an effective rebounder from the wing. Offensively, he has developed into a reliable scoring option who can attack downhill, finish through contact, and score at multiple levels. His improving offensive confidence, combined with his defensive instincts, makes him a well-rounded player who consistently contributes across the stat sheet.
Looking ahead, Ben has the tools to continue developing into a highly impactful two-way player. As his perimeter shooting consistency improves and his pace control continues to evolve, his offensive ceiling will expand even further. With his physical style, competitive drive, and willingness to do the hard work on defense and the glass, he is poised to be a player who can help programs win by bringing toughness, versatility, and energy every time he steps on the floor. Stay tuned.
