Hunter is pure electricity in motion, an explosive, dynamic, and versatile playmaker who leaves his mark on every inch of the field. Fierce as a defender, dangerous as a ball carrier, and relentless on special teams, he’s a two-way dynamo that coaches dream about. With vision that slices through defenses, a devastating jump cut, and hands reliable enough to line up in the slot, he is the ultimate three-down back. On defense, he’s a punishing tackler and a natural ballhawk who thrives on anticipation and film study, recognizing tendencies before the snap and reacting with precision. Coaches know what separates Hunter from the rest: his high motor, his ability to impact the game in all three phases, and his loyalty to his team. Every time he steps on the field, they can expect grit, preparation, and a fierce competitor who refuses to be outworked.
This past season, Hunter’s impact was undeniable. He finished the season with 1,063 all-purpose yards, 145 carries for 759 yards (5.2 YPC), 9 receptions for 186 yards (20.7 YPC), and 9 total touchdowns (7 rushing, 1 receiving, 1 defensive). Defensively, he piled up 54 tackles (49 solo), 1 interception, and 2 fumble recoveries (including one for a touchdown). His dominance was on full display in the season-opening 38–28 win over Loretta, where he exploded for 246 all-purpose yards, 2 rushing touchdowns, 11 carries for 73 yards (6.64 YPC), 2 receptions for 31 yards and a score, 2 blocks, 45 kick return yards, 2 interceptions with an 85-yard pick-six, and 9 tackles (8 solo). That monster performance set the tone for the year and earned him Player of the Week honors. His biggest improvement came from adding size and strength while elevating his coverage skills and pass-catching ability through personal training with RB coach Beasley in Murfreesboro and competitive reps with Mid-TN Wolfpack 7v7. Hunter’s offseason was spent grinding, attending 15 camps, heavy film work, and adding versatility to his arsenal. His goals are to push his young Cornersville team to a winning record and prove he’s a college-ready difference maker.
What fuels Hunter the most is his unwavering faith in God. He trusts God’s plan and knows that every trial and season of adversity is preparation for something greater. His belief that “we never know why we go through things, but someday it will make sense” keeps him grounded and focused, allowing him to step on the field with peace, confidence, and relentless drive. For Hunter, giving glory to God is not just part of his story; it is the very source of his strength and perseverance.
Hunter’s versatility is unmatched. Offense, defense, or special teams, he can fill any role at a high level. He thrives as a three-down back who sees lanes before they open, slashes through with burst, and fights for every inch. He’s equally fierce on defense, where his toughness and anticipation turn him into a problem for ball carriers. Even as Tennessee’s transfer rule gave him chances to move to bigger programs, he stayed true to Cornersville, valuing character, loyalty, and team unity over exposure. That decision speaks volumes to his leadership, his heart, and his belief that hard work and commitment will take him where he needs to go.
Hunter currently holds offers from University of Indianapolis, Bethel University, Cumberland University, Sewanee University, Hanover College, Millsaps College, and Denison, with one NCAA offer from Millsaps and two Juco offers on the table. His recruiting journey is still unfolding, but his consistent production, undeniable skill set, and selfless mentality make him an asset any program would be lucky to land.
Hunter has the ability to elevate a college program from day one. His mix of power running, fluid receiving ability, and defensive toughness makes him an all-purpose weapon. Coaches will love his versatility, leadership, and relentless motor that translates into consistent production. He changes the energy of a locker room and raises the bar for everyone around him.
Hunter has the potential to be a multi-positional force at the next level. Expect him to bring impact reps on offense, defense, and special teams while continuing to grow stronger and faster. His ceiling is sky-high, and his mindset of preparation, faith, and loyalty ensures his potential will only keep climbing. Programs that value versatility, character, and production will find a complete player in Hunter Uland. He’s ready to compete, contribute, and carve his place on Saturdays. Stay tuned.
