Keston is a smooth, confident three-level scorer with a style that feels both controlled and explosive. His game shines with a calm craftiness, using a high IQ to break down defenders and create scoring windows that others simply do not see. He rains shots from deep with a smooth touch, gets downhill with purpose, absorbs contact, and finishes while staying balanced on two feet. What separates him from most guards his age is the combination of IQ, poise, and versatility. He plays with confidence, makes winning reads, and has a playmaker’s feel for setting up teammates in rhythm. Coaches can expect a relentless worker every time he steps on the floor, a player who communicates, leads, and elevates the entire group with energy that never dips.
As a freshman, Keston played in 10 varsity games for an Elk Mound squad that reached the state tournament, gaining valuable experience under the brightest lights. Competing on the New Balance P32 circuit also toughened his game, forcing him to develop grit while learning how to create against high-level defenders. His biggest improvement this past year came in his toughness and his ability to attack the rim. He became more aggressive, more decisive, and more dangerous off the bounce. His vision also grew as he learned to make the right reads to create advantages for his team. This offseason, he is determined to turn his three-point shot into a true weapon while building strength, lateral quickness, and defensive presence. His goal is to become a complete guard who can lock down, score, facilitate, and lead as Elk Mound leans on him in a bigger role.
Nothing impacted Keston more than experiencing the Kohl Center during the state run. Standing on that floor lit something inside him, a feeling he wants to repeat with three seasons left to chase it. He is fired up to face rivals like Altoona, where close battles and familiar faces create the kind of competition he thrives in. His coaches can expect maximum effort, leadership through communication, and a mindset rooted in positivity and accountability. What fuels him most is the pure joy of winning, along with the gratitude he carries for the blessings God has placed in his life. When facing adversity, he slows down, remembers his training, and uses his faith and preparation to settle in and respond.
Keston has loved basketball since that first YMCA game in first grade. The sport has shaped him, taught him, and connected him to people he values deeply. Off the court, he enjoys running cross country, spending time with friends and family, and studying NBA and college basketball. At 15, he has no offers yet, but his dream of playing college basketball is alive and real because his work ethic keeps him moving forward.
I assess that Keston brings a skill foundation that translates well to the college level. His shooting touch, ability to attack off two feet, and growing strength give him a scoring package that fits modern backcourt roles. His decision-making, confidence, and awareness create opportunities for teammates, making him a valuable piece of any system that emphasizes ball movement and intelligent play. As he continues developing his defensive intensity and physical strength, he becomes an even more complete guard who can give a college program versatility, maturity, and reliability.
Keston is stepping into a key moment in his young career. With a bigger role ahead, expanded confidence, and an offseason dedicated to adding strength and evolving his skill set, he is poised to make a significant jump. Expect him to become a stronger scorer, a more dynamic creator, and a leader who brings composure in tense moments. His potential continues to rise because he has the mindset, work habits, and passion required to keep elevating. The next few years will be powerful growth seasons for him, and he is on track to become a standout guard in Wisconsin basketball. Stay tuned.
