Mylan Harris

Point Guard

Class of 2027

Lighthouse Christian School,  TN

Mylan steps into Lighthouse Christian like a quiet storm, finally ready to be felt. He carries the hunger of a kid who has been overlooked and disrespected far too long, and instead of fading into the background, he turned into a diamond waiting for the right moment to shine. He brings an electric presence and a natural command that instantly settles a floor and lifts a team. His entire life as a point guard shaped him into the kind of leader who controls pace, brings order to chaos, and inspires confidence in every player beside him. What separates him is not just his talent but the steady spirit he brings to the game. His impact reaches beyond scoring or passing. He brings belief. He brings culture. He brings another level of energy to Lighthouse Christian.

This is his first year at Lighthouse after transferring from Overton, and the fit has been perfect. He walked into a program rich in heritage, surrounded by banners and rooted in tradition, and immediately felt it in his soul. The coaches embraced him. The players welcomed him. The culture pulled him in. He describes it as more than basketball because to him, it is a brotherhood. The atmosphere, the unity, and the daily expectations have pushed him to grow, to lead, and to become a stronger version of himself. He loves everything about it. The way they move as one. The way they treat one another. The way the program becomes a family on and off the court.

Leadership lives inside him. He brings positivity, composure, and the ability to lift teammates no matter the moment. When players get down, he is the one who picks them up. When the floor needs organization, he steadies the offense. When the energy dips, he raises it. Every possession flows through him because he makes sure everyone stays connected and in the right spots. He plays with purpose, confidence, and a team-first mentality that coaches dream about. His gift is not only controlling a game but also elevating the people around him.

Adversity does not break him. It reminds him of his foundation. When moments get tight, he prays, thanks God for another chance to step on the court, and finds a peace that steadies him through the pressure. He knows mistakes will happen because he is human, but he refuses to stay stuck in them. He has a powerful support system in his coaches and teammates, and their belief keeps him level and focused. He does not dwell. He breathes, resets, and keeps a next-play mindset that fuels his growth.

His faith is the heartbeat of everything he does. He believes God put this team together for a reason and wants them united for something bigger than basketball. Playing through God removes selfishness, strengthens their bond, and keeps their hearts aligned. No one tries to overshadow anyone else. They serve each other. They support each other. They play for one another and for the One who gave them their gifts. Mylan lives to shine a light back on God and give glory to the giver of his abilities.

Mylan Harris is not the loudest kid, but his presence speaks volumes. He is a fighter. A leader. A believer. A floor general built from resilience. A diamond in the rough whose shine is about to become impossible to ignore. Lighthouse Christian found something special in him, and when this season begins, everyone else will finally see what they missed. Stay tuned.
