Dominic built his season on growth, strength, and a complete shift in how he attacked the game. What once started as a catch-and-shoot weapon turned into a downhill force that could break down any defender in front of him. The jump from 6’2 to 6’4, along with added strength, changed everything. He wasn’t just finding space anymore, he was creating it, absorbing contact, and finishing through it. That evolution turned him from a key piece into the one controlling the entire flow of the game, dictating tempo and forcing defenses to react instead of anticipate.

That control came from a natural feel for the game that separates him. Dominic has always played with a sense of awareness, moving with purpose and protecting the basketball at a high level. Leading the team in turnover percentage wasn’t by chance, it was the result of discipline, vision, and understanding every possession matters. As his role expanded, that responsibility grew with it, and he embraced it by making smart reads, valuing the ball, and consistently putting his team in the best position to succeed.

The way he runs the floor speaks to something deeper than just skill. Everything is rooted in team. Every possession, every read, every pass comes with the intention of keeping everyone involved. The extra pass, the right play, the unselfish mindset, that’s what fuels winning basketball. Dominic doesn’t just look to score, he looks to control the rhythm and make sure everyone around him is in sync, and that’s what makes his presence so impactful.

And when the lights get brighter, something shifts. Dominic doesn’t shy away from big moments, he thrives in them. The bigger the stage, the more locked in he becomes. This season proved it over and over again. 21 points on perfect shooting against Capital. 28 in overtime against Boyd County. 18 in the MSAC Championship win over Parkersburg South. Then the biggest one of all, 28 points in the state championship against Spring Mills, while going a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line. Those aren’t just performances, that’s a player who embraces pressure and turns it into production.

That championship game was a battle that kept stretching, pushing every player to their limit. Double overtime against the defending champs with everything on the line, and Dominic stayed grounded in one thing, fighting for his teammates. That bond, especially with a senior group he believed in, fueled everything he did. When the moment called for it, he answered, scoring 10 points in the second overtime to take control and bring it home.

But what made that performance even more complete was what he did on the defensive end—a key block against their top guard. Locking in during the final possession of the first overtime, staying in front, forcing the ball out, and disrupting what could have been a game-winning moment for the opponent. That sequence shifted everything. It wasn’t just about scoring, it was about making winning plays when they mattered most.

As the game wore on, everything slowed down. The moment wasn’t too big; it became his. The confidence, the control, and the understanding of what needed to be done all came together at once. That’s when he stepped fully into it, not forcing anything, just taking over in the flow of the game and delivering exactly what his team needed.

And when it was over, there was only one thing left to do, celebrate it with his team and that student section. No better feeling, no better ending, and no clearer statement. Dominic, known as “The Natural,” didn’t just rise to the moment; he owned it, and now that moment is only setting the stage for what’s next.

I assess that Dominic is a strong, versatile guard with size who can impact the game in multiple ways. His ability to rain threes at a high clip, attack downhill, absorb contact, and finish gives him a consistent scoring option, while his decision-making and ball security make him reliable as a lead guard. He understands pace, reads defenses well, and values possessions, which allows him to control games without forcing action. His defensive intensity and awareness add another layer to his game, showing he can affect winning on both ends.

At the next level, Dominic has the ability to be a guard who can run a team, create offense, and deliver in high-pressure situations. His composure, physical tools, and feel for the game give him the foundation to compete in structured systems where smart play and toughness matter. Programs will benefit from his ability to manage the floor, make timely plays, and elevate when the stakes rise. Moving forward, his continued development as a consistent creator and leader positions him to make a real impact and grow into a player that can be trusted in big moments. Stay tuned.
