Cooper is the Little Giant, an explosive stick of dynamite with a fierce edge, relentless grit, and a chip on his shoulder the size of a mountain. This fearless guard doesn’t just play basketball, he attacks it. Every dribble, every drive, every possession is personal. Fueled by the disrespect that often trails smaller guards, Cooper turns every doubt into fuel and every defender into a target. He’s a three-level bucket-getter with electric blow-by speed and the strength to finish through contact against bigger bodies who make the mistake of underestimating him. Whether he’s slicing through the paint or rising up in traffic, Cooper brings the kind of fire that can’t be measured by height. His motor never quits, diving for loose balls, locking up on defense, snagging rebounds, and dropping dimes. He plays like he’s got something to prove every second, and most nights, he proves it early and often.
Averaging a scorching 27 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game, Cooper is a nightmare matchup who brings production, fire, and leadership every time he hits the floor. His biggest motivation is earning the recognition he knows he deserves, using live periods like OWE 17U’s RecruitLook Hoops Circuit and the Life Live event to showcase his full arsenal. This offseason, his focus is on turning heads and turning up, gaining offers, and proving he’s more than just “good for his size.” He handles adversity with cool composure, leaning on the work he’s put in and the unshakable confidence in who he is. The best advice he’s ever received is, “Be yourself in all situations.” And that’s exactly what he brings: the raw, relentless, real version of Cooper Nelson.
I assess that Cooper’s toughness, scoring instincts, and refusal to back down from any challenge make him a weapon in any system. His ability to break down defenses, create for himself and others, and play with such a relentless edge gives coaches a guard who can control a game with more than just stats but brings impact, swagger, and heart.
Expect Cooper to continue torching defenders, gaining traction with college programs that value fearless competitors that rise in big moments. He’s a little giant with a massive game, and his ceiling only climbs higher as he continues to evolve. Count him out, and he’ll make you pay loudly. Stay tuned for yet another monster season ahead.
