Nick is a versatile two-way stud that I'm calling "The Iron Man", and doesn't take a play off, including special teams. Nick has nice speed mixed with power good field vision and reaction time. Nick is a sure tackler. Offensively Nick can bring anything from a bad ball to the shoulder jump ball and defensively Nick feels he can meet anybody in the conference in the hole
Before the ball is snapped Nick thinks to himself “Do your job”! Nick has amazing trust in his teammates and knows if everyone does their job they will be successful.
Through three weeks Nick has 7 receptions for 72 yards, 20 total tackles, and 17 solo at corner. He also had 108 kick return yards with an average of 22.5 yards per return. The most motivational thing for Nick and his team this year was when they lost on the last play of double overtime last year to send their steam to the playoffs on the 1-yard line. The goal this season is to avenge that loss and make a deep playoff run.
What fuels Nick the most on that field is everyone who doubts his team, they’ve gone 2-8 and 3-7 in past seasons and his grade is the one to turn it around. Playing with an edge and passion they are determined to make believers out of everyone this season.
Nick, already having faced a lot of adversity, believes you battle through it, learn from it, and build on it. Control what you can change and hold yourself accountable to do so.
What separates Nick from others playing his position is his route running and ability to bring any ball thrown at him in. Another thing that separates Nick is his relentless nonstop motor and the ability to play multiple positions well. Nick has played 128 snaps in three games and feels like literal death after games cause he gave everything he had and held nothing back.
Nick can realistically see himself at the Division 2 level in football or an opportunity at a small D1 but would consider all levels because any opportunity after HS is a blessing. What would make a school standout for Nick is a good environment and finance/economics program because life is bigger than sports and the real world will be waiting for him.
Something Nick would say to a future polisher in a program is to buy into everything being taught and believe you're the one to make a
I assess the potential is high with Nick's ability to play multiple positions. Putting in hard work nonstop is a coach's dream. Starting this season strong has set high expectations for Nick. Knowing his tenacity and work ethic, his ceiling is high and any doubt will only feed the will to succeed. Buckle up y’all!
