Dalton impacts the game in every direction possible while staying completely locked into winning basketball. The electric combo guard continues proving why he’s one of the most valuable players on the floor every time he steps into a gym. Between his playmaking, court vision, defensive pressure, shot making, and ability to completely control tempo, Dalton keeps finding ways to leave his fingerprints all over games.

What stands out first is the pace and energy he plays with. Dalton pushes the ball hard in transition, keeps defenses scrambling, and constantly has his head up looking for the next winning play. He’s the type of guard that speeds up opposing defenses while still staying under control himself. One second, he’s feeding a teammate for an easy bucket inside, and the next, he’s hitting a shot himself or ripping away a steal on the defensive end.

That complete floor game showed up consistently all season long as Dalton averaged 13 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game while handling the most minutes on the team. That says everything about the trust coaches have in him. Players do not stay on the floor that much unless they consistently impact winning in multiple ways. Dalton’s unselfishness, decision-making, and ability to steady the offense make him incredibly valuable because he understands how to make everybody around him better.

His court vision and ball-handling continue to open everything up offensively. Dalton is constantly scanning the floor and reading defenses while looking for the smartest play available instead of forcing difficult shots. He does an excellent job feeding his bigs inside, creating opportunities for teammates in transition, and controlling the rhythm of the game possession after possession. That balance between scoring and facilitating is what makes him dangerous because defenses can never fully key in on one part of his game.

And when Dalton gets rolling offensively, things can get scary fast. Over his last 2 tournaments, he averaged 14 points, 6 assists, and 2 steals a game while delivering several huge moments that showed his confidence and scoring ability. One of the biggest came on a half-court game winner that instantly turned heads. Then, in another huge performance, Dalton scored 18 points while scoring 16 straight for his team in the final game. That type of shot-making under pressure says a lot about his confidence and poise when the moment gets heavy.

What makes those scoring bursts even more dangerous is that Dalton is already known as a knockdown shooter defenses must respect. Once defenders press up too aggressively, his handle, vision, and passing ability start creating even more problems. He processes the game quickly and consistently makes smart reads in transition instead of forcing action.

Defensively, Dalton plays fast and aggressive while creating pressure with his quickness and instincts. He competes hard on that end, disrupts passing lanes, and stays engaged throughout games.
