Charlie is a dynamic guard who brings a full arsenal to the floor. He is electric with the ball, crafty in creating space, explosive when he attacks gaps, and fierce on the defensive end. His passing is strong and instinctive, threading difficult reads with confidence because defenses collapse so hard due to his shooting ability. He sees the game at a high level, controls pace with a calm command, and leads with a presence that teammates trust. Charlie competes with an edge, fights for every possession, and impacts winning through scoring, playmaking, defense, leadership, and pure competitive fire. He is the heartbeat of his team, a complete guard who does far more than hit threes.
Charlie’s start to the season has been explosive. Through 5 games, he is shooting a blistering 47 percent from 3 while stacking 73 points, 13 steals, and 12 assists. His shot-making has continued to shine, highlighted by a 22-point performance against Holy Cross, where he rained in 6 triples in 20 minutes. At the Laredo Tournament he drilled 12 threes on 24 attempts, proving once again the depth of his range. These performances reflect the improvement he made since last year, especially on the defensive end where he has become quicker laterally and more aggressive. His confidence is at an all-time high, fueled by constant work and a growing relationship with God that grounds him through every moment.
This offseason, Charlie is focused on building a college-ready body. Strength, conditioning, and durability are key elements as he works to increase his athleticism and handle next-level physicality. That hunger connects to the pride he carries for his program. Last season, The Village School won its district for the first time and captured its first playoff win in school history. That moment lit a fire in him, and he believes this year’s group can push even further.
Charlie has multiple games circled on the schedule. Houston Christian is one of them. If the playoffs produce a rematch with Antonian, he wants that moment back. He finds something personal in every game, whether it comes from a previous loss, a highly recruited opponent, or an opponent talking. That fuel blends perfectly with his leadership as he functions as an extension of his coaches, a communicator who impacts the game on every possession.
He is driven to pursue a state championship. His school has never won one, and he believes this team has everything needed to make a historic run. He currently holds 5 offers from D2, D3, and NAIA programs and will make his decision after the season. His achievements speak for themselves. All-district as a freshman, sophomore, and junior, and the school record holder with 11 threes in one game. His game is complete. He can score from deep, attack off the bounce, finish through contact, pressure the ball, rebound from the guard spot, cut with purpose, pass with creativity, and bring relentless effort from start to finish.
Charlie embraces adversity. When obstacles show up, he pushes harder. His faith is the foundation of his strength, and it shapes the way he approaches life on and off the court. Away from basketball, he enjoys lifting, spending time with family, hanging with friends, and building his own Christian clothing brand. That balance keeps him grounded and fuels the competitor he is becoming.
I assess that Charlie brings the perfect combination of shooting, decision-making, defensive intensity, and leadership. His ability to stretch defenses, create for teammates, and anchor a team with communication makes him an immediate asset to a college program. His work ethic and consistency elevate locker rooms. His game translates to winning, and his approach raises the level of everyone around him.
Charlie’s ceiling continues to rise as he builds strength and grows more athletic. His scoring package is already dangerous, but his passing, defensive growth, and leadership give him long-term potential that extends far beyond being a shooter. Expect him to evolve as he takes on bigger challenges, expands his physical tools, and embraces new roles. His potential is strong, and he has the tools to become one of the most complete two-way guards in his class.
