Vinh’s game is built on explosiveness and creativity. A master of the pick-and-roll, he uses a sharp basketball IQ to control the flow and create opportunities for his team. A lethal mid-range shooter with the ability to knock down three-pointers with ease, he’s a constant offensive weapon. Vinh’s court vision is unmatched—thriving on jaw-dropping passes and consistently finding open teammates. On defense, his intensity shines through, regularly taking charges and locking down opponents in the half-court.
This season, Vinh’s playmaking has been dynamic, averaging 11.4 points, 5.2 assists, and 4 rebounds per game, with recent performances pushing those numbers higher to 11.7 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 8 assists per game. His mission is clear: average a double-double, win the North Pole Hoops Championship and lead his team to a deep postseason run.
The fire within Vinh burns strongest when the gym is alive with energy, whether it’s the roar of music or his team putting on a show with electrifying plays. These moments fan the flames of his competitive spirit, but his true strength comes from a higher source. Vinh’s unwavering faith in God fuels his drive, grounding him with purpose and guiding every step of his journey. He seeks to glorify God and honor his family with each effort, pouring his heart into the game as a testament to his faith and gratitude.
Adversity is nothing new for Vinh. Overcoming a year-long injury and challenges with playing time showed him the power of patience and trust. His belief in God’s plan provides unwavering strength. “What you put into it is what you get out of it” serves as daily inspiration to put in relentless hard work and push through any obstacle.
Vinh’s focus is on limiting turnovers, improving their 94-foot defense, and becoming a stronger finisher around the rim. While Vinh’s unselfishness as a point guard is a strength, he understands the need to balance setting up teammates and capitalizing on scoring opportunities.
Off the court, Vinh enjoys being filmmaker for basketball mixtapes and a skilled pianist, his goal is to one day start multiple businesses and give back to the community. For now, Vinh's sights are on dominating the court, gaining 10 pounds of muscle in the offseason, and making a strong case for D1 opportunities.
Vinh currently holds offers from colleges in Canada, an NCCAA offer, and interest from several universities, including a school in Miami and a D3 program in New York, Plattsburgh. He previously had a D2 offer from Franklin Pierce University and believes he can reach that level again, given his ability to compete with D1 and D2 players in games.
Vinh’s fierce dedication and crafty approach to the game are setting the stage for big things ahead. With an explosive skill set and relentless work ethic, the path forward is filled with promise.
