Ethan is a dynamic three-level scorer with explosive athleticism, elite touch, and the size to create mismatches all over the floor. His handles are smooth and shifty, allowing him to attack defenders off the bounce and pull up cleanly off one or two dribbles with elevation and control. That middy game is deadly, and his ability to rise up with length and craft even when tightly guarded makes him nearly impossible to contain. Whether it’s catching defenders sleeping on the perimeter, raining threes, or blowing past a help-side rotation to finish at the rim, Ethan has a scoring package that makes him a serious problem from the guard spot. Add in his size and IQ, and you’ve got a playmaker who can break you down or knock down the shot without hesitation. He plays with a fierce competitive edge and doesn’t back down from the moment, he wants the ball in his hands when the game is on the line.

After putting up 11.3 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game on the varsity stage as a sophomore, Ethan proved he could not only hang but also lead. His confidence exploded this past season as he learned how to take games over and became fearless about finding his shots and attacking with purpose. His biggest offseason goal is to become a true knockdown shooter from deep while continuing to get stronger, more explosive, and unpredictable with the ball in his hands. He’s also committed to being more disruptive on defense, flying around with active hands and being everywhere he needs to be. The most impactful moment of the year was earning the starting job and holding it all season long, a statement of trust from his coaches and a turning point in his belief that he can lead at a high level.

Ethan plays for Utah NLB (Next Level Basketball) and will compete in three major tournaments this July, including two Puma NXT events in Seal Beach, California. He’s fired up for the opportunity to earn college attention and showcase what he can do. He’s chasing major goals this upcoming year, averaging 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, making 1st Team All-State for 3A, and being named Region MVP. Beyond the stats, though, his drive comes from wanting to win, build culture, and prove that he and his team deserve every ounce of respect. Getting overlooked only fuels him more.

When facing adversity, Ethan blocks out the noise and keeps pushing forward. His work ethic and mental toughness won’t allow him to fold; he just finds another way to impact the game. Whether it's scoring, creating for others, or bringing defensive energy, he stays locked in. The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, "The only shot that matters is the next one." And he takes that to heart by never being afraid to pull the trigger and fulfill his responsibility to lead and score.

Ethan is not only coachable and fun to be around, he genuinely loves the process. Whether it’s practice, film, or game day, he’s having fun and embracing the grind. Off the court, he’s just as driven. He’s a 4.0 student, plays golf for the school team, and enjoys time with friends and family, especially during the summer months.

I assess that Ethan’s size, skillset, and mental edge make him a dynamic scoring guard at the next level. His ability to hit tough shots, stretch the floor, and create offense with smooth athleticism gives him a valuable role on any roster. Coaches can expect a high-character leader who plays with fire and has a bag full of tools ready to contribute early.

Ethan’s ceiling continues to rise. As he becomes a more consistent shooter and adds strength to his frame, he’s poised to be one of the top guards in his class. With his hunger to win, fearlessness, and growing versatility, he’s a name colleges will need to lock in and follow closely moving forward.
