Jake hits the court with a smooth confidence that jumps off the page the second he catches the ball. He is a long, skilled wing with a smooth shooting touch that stretches defenses thin and forces them to guard places they would rather not. When he rises from deep, it comes off his hand clean, relaxed, and lethal. But Jake is far from just an outside shooter. He has started evolving a dangerous downhill game, attacking gaps with purpose and using his length to finish at the rim. He brings balance to every possession, scoring inside and out while mixing it up on the boards, guarding multiple spots, and giving his team steady two-way production. He is turning himself into that reliable anchor every team leans on when the game gets tight.

This season, Jake has been rolling, averaging 15.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals, proving he can fill up a stat sheet without forcing anything. The biggest improvement from last year is his confidence. He plays more assertively now, trusting his skill set, attacking the rim with intention, and putting pressure on defenders who must choose between respecting the drive or protecting the arc. That confidence bleeds into everything he does, whether he is creating space, making the extra pass, or cleaning up the boards. And with senior year on deck, Jake is embracing the moment fully.

Coaches know they are getting hustle, work ethic, competitive drive, and leadership with Jake every time he touches the floor. He comes into games ready to battle, ready to defend, and ready to do the little things that impact winning. Jake’s goal for the season is simple but fierce. It is his senior year, and he wants to help Heritage Hills win their conference and chase a sectional championship. That is where his energy is aimed. He is not just playing games; he is chasing something bigger.

The best advice he received is to control what you can control. Effort, focus, precision, and attitude. The things that separate players when talent is equal. That mentality is a huge part of why programs are noticing him. Jake already holds offers from St. Francis, Brescia, Wabash, Rose-Hulman, Illinois Wesleyan, and Hanover, with more schools starting to follow the rise he is putting together.

I assess that Jake brings college-ready value with his shooting range, length, and ability to contribute on both ends. His size, touch, and competitiveness make him a natural fit for programs looking for a wing who can score within the offense and still anchor possessions with effort and leadership.

As he continues tightening his downhill attack, growing more vocal, and expanding his all-around consistency, Jake is moving toward becoming a complete two-way threat. His confidence is rising, his production is steady, and his best basketball is still ahead. Expect him to keep elevating his game and proving that he is built for a strong senior year and a promising college future. Stay tuned.
