Every time Gage steps on the floor, his whole mission is to become a problem for the other team without forcing the spotlight onto himself. He is the kind of guard who quietly controls everything around him while the game speeds up for everybody else: smooth pace, smart decisions, tough defense, and unselfish basketball. The little things that separate winning guards from everybody else are exactly the things Gage takes pride in most.

He plays with a calmness that instantly stands out. While other players rush possessions or get rattled when pressure builds, Gage stays steady and under control. He trusts the work he has put in, trusts his teammates, and trusts his ability to make the right read. That confidence allows him to play at his own speed instead of letting the game dictate him. He understands basketball games can shift fast, so instead of panicking, he locks in even harder and keeps leading.

One of the biggest strengths in Gage’s game is how unselfish he is while still being able to create offense when needed. He genuinely enjoys getting teammates involved, making smart passes, and doing whatever helps the team most. Some possessions that means scoring. Other times, it means locking up defensively, controlling tempo, or simply bringing energy when the team needs a spark. That team-first mentality jumps off the floor immediately.

His development this past season took another strong step forward, especially in his decision-making and defensive intensity. Gage focused heavily on reading the game better, understanding when to attack, and recognizing when to get teammates involved. Those improvements are now starting to show even more heading into AAU season. On the defensive side, he has continued pushing himself to stay in front of his man, bring nonstop energy, and make life difficult for opposing guards every possession.

Adversity also tested him mentally this year. There were moments during games where calls did not go his team’s way, or situations became frustrating, but instead of letting emotions pull him out of the game, Gage learned how to stay composed and focus on the next possession. That growth mentally may be just as important as anything physical because high-level guards have to stay calm when everything around them gets chaotic. Leaning on his coaches, teammates, and trusting the work he put in helped him battle through those moments and continue growing both mentally and physically.

This AAU season, Gage is running with Stay Sober Elite and competing all over the country against strong competition. From Las Vegas to St. Louis, Oklahoma, and Nebraska, he is embracing every opportunity to test himself against talented players and continue developing his game. More than anything, he is excited about building chemistry with his teammates, competing during live period, and proving the work they have all put in together.

The goals driving him right now go much deeper than highlights or attention. Gage wants to continue improving every area of his game while proving he can perform against top competition. He wants to grow into a stronger leader, keep elevating his control of the game, and eventually position himself to play at the next level. His hunger is built around steady improvement every single time he steps on the floor.

When college coaches come to watch Gage play, they are going to see a point guard who values winning basketball above everything else. They are going to see somebody who protects the ball, makes smart reads, competes defensively, and stays composed under pressure. They are going to see effort every possession, strong communication, and a player that understands how to control the flow of the game while keeping teammates involved. Most importantly, they are going to see somebody completely focused on helping his team win.

I assess that Gage is a smart, composed lead guard who impacts games with pace, decision-making, and toughness. His ability to stay calm under pressure while controlling tempo gives him strong value as a floor general. He competes defensively, takes care of the basketball, and consistently makes winning plays that help elevate teammates around him.

Gage’s biggest strength is his understanding of the game and his willingness to play unselfish basketball while still creating offense when needed. His improvements defensively and as a decision-maker continue to push his game forward. As he keeps developing physically and gaining experience against high-level competition during the AAU season, his confidence and overall impact should continue growing. His mentality, composure, and team-first approach make him a guard coaches can trust.
