Titus Gleisinger brings speed, aggression, and a physical attitude that can make his presence felt from several spots on the defense. He loves coming off the edge and hunting the quarterback, but his game carries much more than a pass-rush punch. Titus embraces taking on pulling guards, blowing up screens, attacking the run and dropping into coverage when needed. He wants an offense thinking about where he is before every snap because his combination of quickness, strength, and versatility gives him several ways to make a play.

That impact has already shown through his first three games against NC 7A competition, where Titus has piled up 20 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and 6 quarterback hurries. Those numbers tell part of the story, but his growing confidence has been just as important to the start he's put together. Instead of hesitating when he recognizes something, Titus is learning to trust his eyes, react quickly, and attack what's unfolding in front of him. When a mistake happens, he turns the page and gets ready for another snap while trusting his teammates who keep each other locked in and accountable.

Speed gives Titus a dangerous weapon at outside linebacker, while his strength allows him to bring fierce contact when blockers try to meet him at the point of attack. He can chase quarterbacks, crash against the run, or fall into coverage without losing the aggressive edge that drives his game. Track has helped sharpen another side of that athletic ability, as Titus was part of a 4x100-meter relay team that competed at the state level during his sophomore year. That track background shows up through his explosiveness and ability to get moving quickly once he sees where the football is headed.

The biggest change since last season has come from trusting himself without wasting that split second questioning what his eyes are telling him. Titus remembers moments when he recognized what was happening but hesitated just enough to slow himself down, and he's worked hard to eliminate that delay. Now he wants to see it and attack it, allowing his instincts and preparation to take over. That confidence has helped unlock a faster version of his game because he's no longer waiting for the play to confirm what he already recognized.

There have already been moments Titus knows he will carry with him long after the final whistle, especially beating his rival on Halloween night last season and helping his team reach the third round of the playoffs. Those games gave him a taste of what a postseason run feels like when teammates are fighting together with everything on the line. Rather than being satisfied with what they accomplished, Titus wants to help push this year’s team even further. That hunger has followed him into this season as he chases another chance to make lasting memories with the teammates beside him.

His journey has also forced him to fight through physical setbacks that temporarily took away some of the explosiveness he knew he had inside him. Frustration could've taken over when his body wasn't responding the way he wanted, but Titus refused to let those struggles become an excuse. He kept working, stayed patient, and learned how important it is to trust the process even when progress doesn't come as quickly as expected. He now feels stronger and more explosive than before, giving him another reason to appreciate every chance he gets to unleash that work on the field.

The offseason was built on adding good weight while becoming faster, stronger, and more explosive without losing what makes his game dangerous. Titus spends plenty of time lifting, running, sharpening his first step, and working on his pass rush because he wants improvement to become part of his daily routine. That grind is fueled by his desire to become as dominant as possible while helping his team make another deep playoff run. He wants opposing offenses searching for his number before the snap because they know ignoring him could quickly turn into a lost yardage play or a quarterback feeling heat.

Titus is already doing plenty of work before the football moves because his eyes are searching for clues that can give him an early jump on what is coming. Motion can tell him one thing, while a tackle’s stance, the movement of a guard, the formation, and backfield alignment can reveal something completely different. He studies those details so he can process them quickly, trust what he sees, and fire toward the football once the play begins. That preparation blends with his natural speed and physical attack, giving him a chance to play fast without just guessing where the action is headed.

There's a fierce competitive fire underneath everything Titus does because he can't stand the thought of somebody putting in more work than him. Whether he's lifting, practicing, or lining up on Friday night, he carries the mindset that another athlete is working for the same spot and chasing the same goals. That thought keeps him hungry and makes wasted reps something he refuses to accept.
