"Smooth Attacks, Silent Impact, and a Mid-Range Game Built to Break Defenses"

6’0”, Class of 2025

Bryant & Stratton College – Rochester, VA

Marquis is a confident scorer with a smooth middy and the ability to get to the rim with purpose. He thrives in the in-between spaces, attacking defenders with poise and finishing efficiently, as shown by his 57.3% shooting from the field last season. He’s also a lethal spot-up shooter from deep when given the opportunity, hitting a blistering 66% of his threes. His ability to read the defense, work off the pick-and-roll, and make quick decisions keeps his offense flowing.

Last season, Marquis averaged 6 points and 4 rebounds per game while embracing a bigger leadership role and becoming more vocal on defense. That improvement has made him a more complete player, and his offseason focus is on expanding his range beyond the arc, playing more effectively off the pick-and-roll, and expanding his on-ball defense. Training with an NBA assistant GM in Las Vegas has given him high-level insights into both skill and mentality, lessons he’s hyped to apply on the floor.

His motivation runs deep, fueled by his mother’s hard work in providing for him and his siblings. That drive shows in his approach to the game, never taking a day off because, as he’s been told, “someone is always working while you’re relaxing.” He handles adversity by breaking down his mistakes, turning weaknesses into strengths, and keeping his focus on improvement.

Marquis is excited for the season ahead, ready to compete at the collegiate level and prove himself against top competition. His goals are locked in on achieving personal development while helping his team succeed. Off the court, he enjoys swimming, playing pool, going to the movies, and staying active through workouts.

Marquis’s efficiency in the mid-range, ability to get to the rim, and growing confidence as a leader make him a steady contributor. His combination of offensive control, defensive improvement, and willingness to do the work positions him as a dependable piece in any rotation.

As Marquis continues to develop his three-point shooting and on-ball defense, his role and impact at Bryant & Stratton have room to expand. With his work ethic, motivation, and improved leadership, he has the potential to become a key two-way player in the seasons ahead. Stay tuned.
