Taeshaun is a dynamic player with super athleticism who jumps out immediately, whether he’s finishing with authority above the rim or breaking down defenses with sharp ball-handling and crisp passes. But Taeshaun isn’t just an offensive dynamo—he is a defensive stud who thrives on the energy of shutting down opponents, taking as much pride in his steals and stops as he does in his dunks. “Stopping someone from scoring feels better than putting the ball in the basket,” he says, and that mindset is the heartbeat of his game.
Last season, Taeshaun averaged 11.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game, totaling 286 points while being the steady leader Hauser needed. His versatility shines through in his ability to impact every facet of the game. Whether he’s draining a jumper, attacking the rim, or igniting his team with a defensive play, Taeshaun’s presence is undeniable. As a two-time all-conference and all-area honoree and a 3SSB “Player to Watch,” his resume speaks for itself.
This season, Taeshaun is aiming for history. With fewer than 300 points separating him from the 1,000-point milestone, he’s determined to make it happen while still leading a talented Hauser squad. His improved confidence and refined three-point shot make him more dangerous than ever. Still, he knows he needs to keep building strength and consistency to take his game to the next level. “I’m working to develop my body and fit college standards,” he says, clearly aiming to play at the collegiate level.
Taeshaun isn’t just thinking about personal milestones—he’s focused on team success. With South Ripley circled as this year’s biggest challenge, he sees that game as a chance to measure Hauser’s growth and readiness for a deep tournament run. On and off the court, his leadership will be critical to pushing his team to new heights.
Beyond basketball, Taeshaun draws inspiration from music, which he describes as “art that relates to everything.” But on the hardwood, it’s all about the grind. “When adversity hits, I breathe, hustle harder, and stay focused,” he says. That relentless work ethic is why he’s already earned offers from IU Columbus, Virginia Southwest, and Kuyper College, with additional interest from Oakton and Earlham.
Taeshaun is a rare mix of athleticism, skill, and determination. He doesn’t just play the game—he lives it, and his potential knows no bounds. As he puts it, “Don’t quit. You’ll never know how close you were to greatness.” For Taeshaun, that greatness is closer than ever.
