Robert is a skilled and steady young guard who brings poise, discipline, and communication to every possession. As a freshman starter at Grand River Prep, he averaged 15 points per game while helping initiate offense, touch the paint, and keep the ball moving in a team-first system. What sets Robert apart isn’t flashy play but his elite ball-handling, mature approach, and vocal leadership on the floor. He understands how to operate both on and off the ball, and he prides himself on being coachable, professional, and fully locked in.

His ability to adapt stood out even more during AAU season, where he faced players nearly a foot taller and still competed with confidence. Playing against bigger, stronger athletes helped him grow in composure, effort, and toughness. That exposure, traveling from state to state and even facing international talent, taught him that size doesn't define impact, and his determination to outwork opponents became even stronger.

This offseason, Robert is focused on his conditioning, physical development, and maintaining a strong connection with his teammates. He wants to build strength, stay motivated in the gym, and keep elevating the mental side of his game. He knows that what makes a great guard isn’t just how well they score, but how they lead, support, and bring unity to a team. He wants to become the kind of player who gets everyone involved and never lets energy drop.

One of the most impactful moments of his journey came off the court. After losing a cousin to gun violence, Robert made a decision to live with purpose and pursue something meaningful through basketball. That motivation fuels him to keep a clear mind, stay away from distractions, and be someone his family can be proud of.

Whether it’s hitting an early jumper to fire up the team or calmly resetting after a mistake, Robert plays with balance. He listens, learns, and leads by example. He described his game as centered on teamwork, always offering honest feedback, keeping communication strong, and showing dedication regardless of the scoreboard. Coaches can count on him to bring effort, help, and stability to the floor every time out.

His AAU season included a strong gold finish at a major tournament, narrowly missing the platinum title. But his mindset was more about encouragement than disappointment, reminding teammates to keep their pride, finish with effort, and never give in before the buzzer sounds. It’s that calm leadership that makes him valuable beyond just the box score.

Looking ahead, Robert’s goals include helping Grand River Prep make a run at the state championship, learning to dunk, and keeping his grades strong. He knows it’ll take effort on all fronts, physically and mentally, but he’s all in.

Off the court, Robert enjoys riding 4-wheelers, fashion, and even playing soccer as a side sport, but basketball remains his true passion.
