Jake is a dynamic two-way threat with a smooth yet explosive game that’s hard to contain. A versatile combo guard with sick handles and quick-twitch blow-by speed, he creates chaos off the bounce and finishes with bounce, craft, and athleticism. He shoots it at a high level with a silky, high release that makes his jumper tough to contest, especially when he elevates with rhythm. But Jake is far more than just a scorer but a complete offensive weapon who can thread the needle with sweet dimes, read defenses with poise, and keep defenders honest at all times. His defensive motor is just as impressive. He anticipates passing lanes, locks in with energy and quickly flips stops into transition points. Whether scoring, distributing, or locking up his assignment, Jake brings a fiery presence that demands attention.

In AAU play this year, Jake averaged 26 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists per game while knocking down nearly 39% from deep. His biggest improvement was his ability to finish at the rim, learning how to absorb contact and convert tough buckets consistently. As he looks ahead, his offseason focus is building strength and tightening his handles to become even more dangerous with the ball in his hands. He’s currently in search of a new AAU program to take that next step on a stronger circuit, but he’s already proven his ability to dominate at a high level. For his upcoming junior season, he has his eyes set on a regional run with hopes of leading Breckinridge County to the state tournament. His motivation is watching his teammates catch fire and succeed fuels his own flame. He embraces adversity as a chance to get better, never backing down from a challenge. The best advice he’s ever received is, “Effort is everything.” And he lives that out on both ends of the floor.

Off the court, Jake enjoys the peace and thrill of hunting and fishing, but when it’s game time, he’s all business, driven, passionate, and committed to doing what it takes to reach the next level.

I assess that Jake’s ability to score at all three levels, combined with his playmaking instincts and defensive tenacity, gives him tremendous value for college coaches seeking a fearless, high-impact guard. His motor, effort, and self-motivated grind separate him from the pack. With added strength and continued work on his handle, he’s built to thrive in a fast-paced, aggressive system.
