Jason is a crafty, shifty point guard who understands how to play with pace and purpose. He uses his body well to create separation, mixes in controlled step-backs, and consistently finds ways to get to his spots to score over bigger defenders. Comfortable both on and off the ball, he brings a steady presence to the floor and plays with a feel that allows the game to come to him rather than forcing action.
As a two-way guard, Jason’s strengths show in his shooting ability, how he uses ball screens to create clean looks, and his passing IQ that keeps teammates involved. Defensively, he stays aggressive and engaged, applying pressure while staying disciplined. Consistency remains the main area of focus, and it is something he continues to work toward daily as his role expands.
Last AAU season on the Recruit Look circuit, Jason averaged 11.2 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.1 rebounds, showing he can balance scoring and playmaking responsibilities. One of his biggest improvements from the previous season has been finding ways to score off the ball, making him more versatile and harder to key on within the offense.
This season, his goals are to stay aggressive on the defensive end and make the right decisions with the ball. He thrives on good team basketball, good ball movement, and moments when big shots matter. Having a big man who understands his role and plays it well also brings out the best in his game, allowing Jason to read the floor and operate with confidence.
When facing adversity, Jason handles it with composure and doesn’t allow it to affect how he plays. That steady mindset helps him stay locked in from possession to possession. On the recruiting front, he does not hold offers yet but continues to stay focused on finding the right college fit. He has received a look from St. Louis Community College, with interest in watching him play during the spring AAU season.
Jason’s ability to score in space, use screens effectively, and see the floor gives him value as a lead guard who can manage an offense. His shooting touch and decision-making allow him to contribute without needing to dominate the ball.
As Jason continues to build consistency and confidence, his impact should keep rising. With his feel for the game and commitment to steady improvement, he has the tools to develop into a reliable guard option at the next level as opportunities continue to open.
