5’9, 140lbs, Class of 2027

Fort Campbell HS, KY

Garrett plays the game with fearless energy and a sniper’s mentality, letting it fly from deep with confidence and range that stretches defenses thin. More than just a perimeter weapon, he attacks effectively off the bounce and uses his high basketball IQ to find open teammates or create opportunities for himself. Fast, vocal, and full of fight, Garrett brings an edge every time he takes the court. A coach knows they’ll get leadership, energy, and a guard who refuses to be overlooked.

This past season, Garrett averaged 11.2 points, 3.5 assists, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.8 steals per game. His biggest improvement has been confidence, trusting his ability to take shots without hesitation, while still balancing it with team-first play. He wants to grow defensively, focusing on stopping drives, becoming more effective on the perimeter, and improving his rebounding despite his size. The most impactful moment for him last season was when his coach encouraged him to take any shot he felt comfortable with, a green light that fueled his growth as both a shooter and a player overall.

This AAU season looked a little different due to his family’s recent military move, but Garrett found a home in the Clarksville G League, where he set out to become more of a scoring threat. That mission came to life when he exploded for 21 points on an efficient shooting night, proving his growth and ability to lead an offense. Looking ahead, he’s determined to help his team win games, continue improving his all-around skill set, and showcase his ability against anyone who doubts him.

Garrett is fired up most by adversity, whether it’s trash talk, doubt, or being overlooked because of his height. Those moments don’t frustrate him; they fuel him. He stays calm, lets his game speak, and responds by going harder. The best advice he’s received is to never be afraid to miss and to always play with confidence, knowing that hesitation only holds players back.

Garrett’s passion for the game runs deep, but above all, his heart belongs to God. He makes it clear that basketball is not just about stats or recognition but about using his gifts to honor the Lord and follow His will. Growing closer to God as both a player and a person matters most to him, and his faith is the foundation that fuels his growth, discipline, and determination on and off the court.

Off the court, Garrett enjoys playing 2K, bowling, spending time with friends and family, and strengthening his faith. For him, basketball is a passion, a platform, and a way to prove that no obstacle, whether size or circumstance, can stop him from chasing his goals.

I assess that Garrett’s fearless shooting and vocal leadership make him a guard who can instantly impact a team’s energy. His ability to stretch defenses with his outside shot, while also facilitating for others, allows him to play both scorer and creator. With his passion and willingness to embrace adversity, he brings toughness and a competitive spirit that programs can rely on.

Moving forward, Garrett has the tools to grow into a dependable floor general who can score at all three levels. Expect his defense and rebounding to improve as he continues to focus on expanding his game. His competitive fire, high IQ, and ability to rise in the face of doubt make him a player with real long-term potential who can lead, produce, and inspire his teammates at every level he plays. When faith meets fire, it's inspiring even to me. Relentless competitors with grit and toughness are always fun to watch, believing they can take on anyone, so they tap into a level of heart you can't teach. Stay tuned as this little giant continues to rise and send the message loud and clear that he is on a mission to reach his dream, and you best not be in his way.
