Alex is a lethal shooting wing with a smooth touch, good court vision, and the kind of basketball IQ that elevates everyone around him. He spaces the floor with precision, punishes defenders from deep, while creating opportunities with unselfish playmaking. His ability to hit shots at a high clip while also reading the floor sets him apart, making him both a reliable scorer and a trusted decision-maker. Add in his growing confidence and athleticism, and Alex has become a rising force with the versatility to impact a game in multiple ways. Coaches can expect maximum effort, smart spacing, and a relentless hunger to win every time he steps on the floor.
In 2025, Alex scored 171 points in just 11 games while shooting a blistering 41% from three and 48% from the field in U18 Division 1, where he was one of the youngest players in the competition. He also competed in Tasmania’s State U18 Tri-Series, averaging 15 points per game with an impressive 4 threes made per game. A season highlight came when he stuffed the stat sheet with 24 points, 5 assists, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks on efficient shooting. His biggest improvement came in athleticism and confidence, which allowed him to step into bigger roles and thrive under pressure. His offseason focus is on developing an elite handle and quicker feet defensively, determined to transform into a more complete two-way player.
Alex thrives off the energy of competition, especially when opponents talk trash, fueling his fire to respond with production. He’s no stranger to adversity, currently battling bone stress in his foot that has sidelined him for 12 weeks, but he embraces challenges with resilience and focus. For Alex, playing the right way and fulfilling his role has always been central, and that mindset continues to define his growth.
Off the court, he keeps his love for the game alive by watching basketball at every level and stays active playing and watching AFL. His passion for competition and constant drive to improve ensure that his ceiling is still rising, making him one of the most exciting young prospects to watch.
I assess that Alex’s elite shooting, passing vision, and high-level IQ give him the tools to be a game-changer for any program. His combination of scoring efficiency and unselfish play makes him a player who can fit seamlessly into any system while still making a major impact.
With continued development in ball handling and perimeter defense, Alex has the potential to become a dynamic two-way wing who thrives on both ends of the court. Expect him to keep building on his athleticism and confidence, evolving into a leader and consistent producer with a bright future ahead. Stay tuned.
