Ali brings a fearless, winning mindset every time he steps on the floor, combining three-level scoring with strong playmaking and vocal leadership that naturally pulls teammates together. He has the confidence to take over when his team needs a bucket, yet understands when the right play is putting others in position to score. That balance makes him a constant threat because defenses have to respect his ability to score from anywhere while knowing he can just as easily create opportunities for everyone around him. Every possession is played with purpose, energy, and a competitive edge that refuses to back down from any challenge.

This past season was filled with growth and responsibility as Ali averaged 18 points per game in 18U Premier while adding another 15 points per game in CBL 19U. One of his biggest achievements came before the opening tip because he became the only rookie captain, a role that immediately placed extra expectations on his shoulders. Leading both an 18U and a 19U team wasn't easy, and it took a few games to settle into the role, but once he found his rhythm, everything began to click. His confidence grew, his leadership became even stronger, and he proved he belonged by adapting quickly while producing at a high level against older competition.

One of the biggest improvements in Ali's game came inside the arc, where he became much more comfortable attacking the middle of the floor and finishing plays with confidence. He also developed a stronger mindset when driving to the basket, showing far more aggression and trusting the work he had put in. Those improvements opened even more scoring opportunities because defenders couldn't sit back and force him into one area of the floor. Every season should show growth, and Ali made sure this one did exactly that.

Being younger than many of the players he competed against created plenty of doubt from others, but instead of allowing those opinions to become excuses, he used them as motivation. Rather than worrying about what people thought, he focused on proving himself every time he stepped on the floor. That adversity helped shape his mentality, teaching him that respect isn't handed out because of age but earned through preparation, consistency, and performance.

Adjusting to different styles of basketball has never been something Ali shies away from. Whether the game becomes faster, more physical, or more athletic, he embraces the challenge instead of fighting it. If something doesn't click immediately, he studies the film, puts in the extra work, and keeps improving until it does. That willingness to learn and make adjustments gives him confidence that he can compete in any environment while continuing to play his own game.

Behind the scenes, Ali believes the real work begins. He enjoys the grind because every workout brings him one step closer to the goals he's chasing. Watching friends make the move to the United States has only fueled that motivation even more, and he doesn't want anything handed to him. He wants to earn every opportunity, compete for every minute, and fight for every spot because he believes that competition brings out the very best in him.

This offseason has been focused on building a stronger body while becoming a more versatile finisher around the rim. Those improvements are designed to make him even more effective attacking through contact and finishing in different ways against bigger, stronger defenders. His goal is, by next season, to continue expanding his game while proving that the work invested every day shows up when the lights come on.

Ask Ali what a coach can expect, and his answer is leadership. He wants to be the voice that keeps teammates together, the competitor who sets the tone with his energy, and the player who embraces responsibility when the game is on the line. That leadership isn't just something he talks about because he has already shown he can handle it while leading teams at multiple levels despite being one of the youngest on the floor.

Heading into next season, Ali believes this will be a takeover season, one where all the extra hours, film study, conditioning, and relentless work finally come together. His focus is on proving that dedication produces results, and if his recent growth is any indication, there is every reason to believe his best basketball is still ahead of him.

I assess that Ali's biggest strengths begin with his ability to score at all three levels while creating for teammates and leading with confidence. His willingness to embrace responsibility, adjust to different styles of play, and outwork obstacles gives him a strong foundation to continue climbing. Add in his improving ability to attack the basket, his vocal presence, and his competitive mentality, and it's easy to see why he continues making strides every season.
