Scott is a gritty, high-motor player whose game thrives in the trenches. He’s not one to chase stats or spotlight but makes his name by doing the dirty work that often gets overlooked but wins games. Whether it’s diving on the floor for a loose ball, boxing out for a rebound, or drawing a charge, Scott brings contagious energy that sets the tone for his squad. His game is built on hustle, defense, and leadership. Though capable of putting the ball in the basket, he finds strength in the small battles, drawing contact, playing tough, and making winning plays. Coaches can count on Scott to be the ultimate glue guy that holds a team together and the voice that steadies it when things get tough.

Averaging 6.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists while shooting 46% from the floor, Scott’s biggest improvement has been his poise under pressure. His focus this offseason is to develop his ball-handling and finishing through contact, skills that will allow him to take on more offensive responsibility next season, especially with a high school team that could be without any seniors. His motivation comes from that very challenge, stepping up and being the anchor when there’s no established leader ahead of him. Off the court, Scott is pushing through the adversity of having no head coach currently in place, and instead of waiting for change, he’s taking charge of his own development.

He’s playing with UTC Fire on the AAU circuit with the goal of raising his game and helping his team dominate every tournament they enter, including the Prep Hoops National Tournament. Scott’s is wired for competition, whether it’s on the court or playing baseball, golf, or even pickleball. Every moment is an opportunity to compete, grow, and lead. His mental toughness stands out; he knows adversity hits everyone, but it’s about mentally telling yourself to push forward even when it’s hard. That work ethic is rooted in a motto he lives by, “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.”

I assess that Scott’s grit, energy, and leadership are difference-making tools for any college program looking for a selfless, all-in type of player. He has the toughness to defend, the IQ to make the right reads, and the competitive fire to impact games far beyond the box score. Coaches will love his willingness to sacrifice for the team.

With continued development as a ball handler and scorer, Scott has the tools to evolve into a complete two-way guard. His ceiling rises with every rep he takes and every ounce of adversity he overcomes. Expect a breakout run as he steps into a bigger role and shows just how powerful hard work can be. Stay tuned.
