6’1”, 185lbs, Class of 2025

Brevard College (Transfer Portal Guard)

Electric with the ball and fearless attacking space, Carter brings nonstop pressure and a relentless pace that separates him at the guard spot. Built like a running back with guard skills, he plays with explosive athleticism, end-to-end speed, and a toughness that never fades. The comparisons to Russell Westbrook and Derrick Rose show up when you watch how he flies downhill, finishes through traffic, rebounds far bigger than his size, and defends 94 feet with intent. Every possession is played with force and urgency, and once he locks in, the game turns physical and demanding on both ends.

The production backs it up. During his senior year of high school, Carter averaged 11.1 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game, rare numbers for a guard that reflect how active, physical, and relentless he is on the floor. He impacts the game beyond scoring, crashing the boards, making hustle plays, and staying involved on every possession, regardless of where the ball is.

His biggest improvement has come through self-driven work, especially with his change of pace and ball handling. He’s learning how to control his speed instead of letting it control him, while continuing to put real time into his three-point shooting with the understanding that consistency from deep matters at the next level. Training with Brian Sanders of Bestmode Training, Carter is focused on tightening his handle at full speed and adding more technique defensively so he can stay solid, strong, and reliable guarding the ball.

What fuels Carter is competition and purpose. Facing someone he believes is better pushes him harder, not away. He plays with something to prove every time he steps on the floor, driven by the simple fact that he gets another day to play the game he loves and another opportunity to work toward helping his mother retire. That motivation shows in how hard he plays, how aggressively he attacks improvement, and how much pride he takes in every possession.

When facing adversity, Carter meets it head-on. He clears his mind, doesn’t dwell on mistakes, and attacks the moment without hesitation. Failing doesn’t scare him. Giving up does. Adversity only sharpens his focus and pushes him closer to the goals he’s chasing.

Faith plays a major role in how Carter approaches basketball and life. His focus isn’t only on growing physically and mentally, but spiritually as well. That relationship with God keeps him grounded, centered, and steady through highs and lows, giving him strength when things get difficult and clarity when decisions matter most.

Currently holding a D3 offer from Dean College and heading to Philadelphia for a potential offer from Moravian University, Carter remains firm in his belief that he belongs on a D1 floor. Distance and financial challenges aren’t deterrents, just part of the grind. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to earn his spot, prove himself, and keep pushing forward.

Carter brings physicality, rebounding, and defensive pressure from the guard position that can change the edge of a college lineup. His motor, toughness, and willingness to do the dirty work give coaches someone they can trust to compete every possession.

Expect a guard who plays fast, plays hard, and never backs down. As his shooting consistency and ball control continue to grow, Carter’s impact rises with it, giving him a real chance to become a dependable, high-energy piece at the next level.
