6’3, 165–170 lbs, Class of 2026
St. Patrick HS, KY
Position: Shooting Guard / Wing
Amari is a dynamic scoring guard who stays in attack mode and puts real pressure on the defense every time he steps on the floor. He gets buckets in bunches, creating his own offense in multiple ways and living in the paint with purpose. He plays every possession with intent and aggression, forcing defenders to react. Whether it is breaking defenders down off the bounce, finishing through traffic, or rising into rhythm jumpers, his offensive mindset is constant and assertive. He brings confidence with the ball in his hands and has a feel for when to take over and when to make the right play for his team.
This season, Amari is averaging approximately 28.2 points per game, ranking among the top scorers in the state while leading his team offensively night after night. He recently scored 1500 career points as a Saint, a milestone earned through consistency and growth over time. He has been a steady offensive leader since 7th grade, showing real development year after year as his role and responsibility have increased.
His impact goes beyond scoring. Amari takes pride in competing on both ends of the floor, mixing it up on the. boards with toughness and defending with intent and physicality. One of the biggest improvements in his game this season has been leadership. He has stepped into that role fully, setting the tone for his team and showing his teammates, the fans, and college programs just how high the ceiling can be when he is locked in and leading the way.
His focus is working to raise his consistency from deep and at the free-throw line, tighten his ball handling against pressure, and become an even more reliable and efficient scorer and playmaker. His goal this season is to lead his team to more wins and push for a district title while remaining a dependable offensive engine every night. Looking ahead to the offseason, the emphasis is on improving decision-making, continuing to grow as a leader, and increasing shooting percentages to put himself in a position for collegiate opportunities.
Competition is what fuels him most. Attacking the rim, making big plays in key moments, and carrying his team's momentum bring out his best basketball. When facing adversity, Amari stays composed, trusts his preparation, and moves on to the next play. Mistakes do not shake him. They drive him to stay focused and keep applying pressure to his team.
Amari is keeping communication open with college coaches and continuing to build relationships at the next level, with current interest from Lindsey Wilson as he continues to stack strong performances and prove his value.
I assess that Amari brings a college program a tough, confident scoring wing who can create offense on demand while competing on both ends of the floor. His ability to apply constant pressure, rebound his position, and handle responsibility makes him a player who can impact winning early.
As his efficiency and leadership continue to grow, expect Amari to become even more reliable and controlled within the flow of the game. With his scoring ability, competitive edge, and steady development, he has the tools to thrive at the next level and deliver when the moment demands it. Stay tuned.
