When JD steps on the floor, he instantly changes the game. A pure marksman with effortless mechanics and a smooth release, he’s one of those rare shooters who can shift momentum with a single touch. His three-point shot is lethal, but what separates him is the ability to move without the ball, constantly slipping through defenses, finding open space, and punishing opponents who give him even an inch of daylight. He’s not just a shooter; he’s a smart playmaker who sees the floor, attacks closeouts, and delivers under pressure. His energy, communication, and defensive tenacity make him a player that coaches trust in big moments.

That firepower was on full display as TN United 16U National defeated Lab Rats 16U, 78–61. JD poured in 26 points, including 21 in the first half, setting the tone early and never cooling off. His confidence from beyond the arc stretched the defense and opened the floor for his teammates, creating rhythm and flow that carried throughout the game. Every bucket seemed to come at the perfect time, whether it was a deep three to quiet a run or a pull-up jumper to extend the lead. TN United built on that energy, controlling the tempo and running away with the win.

JD didn’t stop there. In today’s Clarksville G-League semifinals, he exploded again with 24 points and five three-pointers, proving once more that he’s a nightmare to guard when he gets rolling. His defense was equally impressive, showcasing relentless intensity for two straight days of competition. From forcing turnovers to leading transition breaks, JD’s motor and mindset were unmatched. He thrives on competition, using his frustration to fuel his play and positively impact every possession.

In the PRO16 League circuit, JD has been nothing short of consistent, averaging 19.7 points per game while shooting a blistering 70% from the field and 62% from three, with over two steals per game. Those numbers don’t just tell the story of a great shooter, but of a player who plays within himself, finds efficiency, and elevates his team. His biggest improvement has been his physicality, which stood out this year as well, gaining strength and confidence to finish through contact while continuing to evolve as a defender and floor leader. He’s committed to improving his man-to-man defense and consistency on both ends, aiming to be in the right spot every single play.

Off the court, JD enjoys golf and spending time with friends, but on the floor, it’s all focus and fire. As he heads into the upcoming season with Father Ryan High School, he’s determined to carry that same momentum, playing fast, leading by example, and helping his team chase wins through effort and execution.

I assess that JD’s elite shooting, unselfish decision-making, and relentless effort make him a dangerous weapon for any system built around ball movement and spacing. His IQ, timing, and confidence under pressure allow him to impact games in ways that go far beyond the stat sheet.

As his frame and defensive consistency continue to grow, JD’s ceiling only rises higher.
