Mykendirk is a punishing interior presence with a growing game and a quiet fire that’s starting to catch attention. He’s a strong, physical big who lives in the paint, getting deep position, sealing defenders, and finishing through contact with force. His natural strength, footwork, and touch make him a tough matchup on the block, and he’s shown real progress in his ability to power through defenders and stay strong with the ball in traffic. He is a beast on the boards. More than just a post player, Mykendirk is building his IQ and discipline, showing he’s not just about muscle, he’s about growth, consistency, and proving he belongs on a bigger stage.

Though he didn’t play for the 2024–25 high school season, Mykendirk has made every rep in AAU count. Competing with Gxifted Elite, he’s dominated recent tournaments, including back-to-back double-doubles at the Nxt Level Basketball Tournament at MSOE, averaging 17+ points and 10+ rebounds per game. That performance earned him MVP recognition and put scouts on notice. He’s been locked in on his biggest improvement, finishing stronger through contact, and it’s showing. His focus now is expanding his midrange jumper and becoming more confident as a consistent shooter. With each tournament, his confidence and value continue to rise, and he's on a mission to earn a scholarship and keep his name buzzing through the summer.

What fuels Mykendirk is more than personal drive but his teammates, his coaches, and the people who’ve poured into him. His coaches have helped him grow not only as a player but as a young man, helping him understand the game, his position, and how to lead. He feeds off the energy of his team, especially when the bench gets loud. That support gets him locked into a different mode, a mindset where, as he says, “no one can stop me.” He’s coachable, receptive to feedback, and always listens to what can help him improve. The best advice he’s ever received is, "Stop practicing bad habits," and that has stuck with him ever since.

Off the court, he enjoys his time with friends and keeps the ball in his hands even when it’s not organized practice. Whether he’s hooping for fun or getting shots up solo, basketball stays close. Mykendirk holds a 3.4 GPA and has all the right traits, mentally, physically, and academically, to turn his rising stock into something real.

I assess that Mykendirk is a powerful interior player with size, strength, and real production who’s evolving. His motor around the basket, rebounding presence, and improved finishing make him a consistent paint threat. As he continues elevating his shot and becoming more vocal, he could evolve into a force at the next level. Coaches looking for toughness, coachability, and potential in the post should be paying attention.

With his recent AAU success, academic strength, and clear focus, Mykendirk is building serious momentum. If he keeps growing his touch, improving his footwork, and adds range to his game, his long-term ceiling is bright. He has breakout potential and is proving he's much more than just a big frame, he’s a rising big with purpose. Stay tuned.
