 Dallas Center Grimes HS, IA

Brody is an athletic and versatile 3-4 stretch forward whose impact is felt in every area of the game. With athleticism and strength, he’s a dominant rebounder on both ends, using timing, positioning, and physicality to control the boards, gobbling up 88 rebounds this past season, including 25 on the offensive glass. He runs the floor with purpose, turning rebounds into transition opportunities, and can handle the ball well enough to initiate offense or attack downhill himself. Offensively, he can create his own shot, finish strong through contact, stretch the floor with his improved outside shooting, and is working to add a more consistent middy. Defensively, he’s a disciplined off-ball presence, protects the rim, and disrupts passing lanes, using his length and anticipation to create extra possessions for his team.

This past season, Brody also had 83 points, 15 assists, 9 steals, and 8 blocks, proving his ability to make an impact beyond scoring. His biggest improvement was extending his range and improving his confidence from deep. With Waukee Jam 16U, he thrived as a tough downhill driver, using his size and touch to finish through contact and draw fouls. He showed flashes as a pick-and-roll ball handler, added floaters in the lane, and showcased a soft touch around the basket. Defensively, he blocked shots, jumped passing lanes, and turned stops into scoring opportunities.

Brody’s AAU goals were to build confidence, add to his skill set, and make a name for himself, and he delivered. He credits his AAU coach with helping him grow mentally and physically, pushing him to embrace challenges and play with a stronger presence. Coaches can expect him to bring hustle, all-out effort, and a team-first mindset every time he takes the floor. He thrives on good team basketball, making timely plays, and performing in moments that matter most.

Brody is ready to take everything he’s learned this summer and apply it to his high school team’s pursuit of a state title. He handles adversity by digging deep, pushing forward, and leaning on the support of his coaches and teammates. The best advice he’s ever received is, “don’t overthink it, just play ball”. That guides him to trust his instincts and play free.

Off the court, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, golfing, and staying connected to the game he loves, because when he’s not playing basketball, he’s thinking about it. With his mix of size, athleticism, rebounding dominance, and evolving skill set, Brody is poised to make a major impact in the upcoming season and beyond.

Brody’s combination of length, athleticism, and rebounding power gives him the ability to control games without needing to score heavily. His improved shooting, defensive presence, and versatility make him a valuable piece who can adapt to any matchup.

As Brody evolves his mid-range scoring and continues building confidence with the ball in his hands, expect his production to rise sharply. His work ethic, willingness to embrace coaching, and ability to perform under pressure will make him a key contributor for Dallas Center-Grimes and a player to watch. Expect a breakout season ahead. Stay tuned.
