Gavin Loper @gavinloper3, 6'3,177, class of 24, from Westmoore High School, OK was an electrifying athlete. Putting on a clinic offensively. Can knock down the long-range bomb but is insanely effective off the bounce. This kid is scrappy and a tough basket-maker. Explosive off the bounce and incredible in transition. Gavin is a fierce finisher even through contact. Loved watching him dominate even among the big. Gavin was a natural and finding seams in the defense. Can drop a nice dime too. 21pts, 5reb, and 3ast. And that defense was relentless. This stud is in constant action, the motor never stops. My appreciation for what he brings is on a new level. During the regular way session, Gavin averaged 12.2pts with a blistering 40.23% from three, 5.1reb, and 3.1ast. The biggest improvement over the summer was shooting and his mid-range. Last season Gavin averaged 9pts, 6reb, and 5.2ast pet game. Becoming an even more complex player Gavin had set the stage for a monster season. His goals for the upcoming season are to get to the state tournament and be first-team all-conference while being the best leader he can be. No one plays with more fire and passion than this stud right here. As a student of the game, he builds on and improves not making the same mistakes in the next game, which is high IQ. What sets Gavin apart is that defense y'all. Tenacious as well as scrappy. He thrives in locking up the other team's best player, no matter the size. The coach should know winning drives this young star that's why he had intense pride in his defense first. This is a D2 high-level talent. OK universities should be fighting for this game changer.
