This past AAU season, he averaged 15.5 points, 7 assists, and 2 steals per game on the Hoop Group circuit, plus a standout performance at the 12th Boston Strong Tournament, where he scored 20 points with 3 assists, 2 steals, and a block. He’s already drawn early college interest, and his dedication to becoming a complete three-level scorer is fueled by daily 7 a.m. gym sessions. For Maxiel, the game doesn’t stop when the clock hits zero; he’s constantly in the lab perfecting his craft.

What sets him apart is his mental game. When the pressure rises, Maxiel stays calm, focused, and poised, using adversity as fuel to work harder. The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, “Always trust the process and keep improving”. This is how he plays, trains, and carries himself. Off the court, he cherishes time with friends and family and finding joy beyond basketball.
