"Floor General Firepower: Crafting Plays and Attacking the Paint"

Gavin Woelfle

@gavin.woelfle

5’10, 150lbs, Class of 2026

Terre Haute North HS, IN

Gavin is a dynamic floor general who brings a high-IQ, high-impact presence to every possession. Electric with the ball and fearless in the lane Gavin uses a crafty handle and a natural feel for facilitating offense, thriving at creating for others while still being a consistent scoring threat around the rim. Gavin reads the floor like a savvy veteran, threading dazzling dimes through tight windows, controlling tempo, and knowing exactly when to attack. His instincts and decision-making separate him from the average point guard, and his ability to finish through traffic makes him even tougher to guard. Always composed and always in control, he fuels his team’s energy and momentum with a steady command and relentless motor.

This past season, Gavin averaged 10.2 points, 3.5 assists, and 2 rebounds per game while improving in both scoring and playmaking. His ability to run the show and get teammates involved was key in Terre Haute North’s success, especially during their thrilling regional title win. Now shifting into offseason mode, Gavin is locked in on improving defensively and becoming a more complete two-way player. He’s playing for the Indiana Jammers on the UA Rise circuit with one goal in mind: stacking wins and standing out in every tournament. His eyes are set on a deep postseason run next year, and he feeds off the crowd every time he takes the floor.

No matter the moment, Gavin stays grounded and focused to keep going. That simple phrase drives him through adversity, pushes him to improve, and reminds him to always be himself, confident, fierce, and unafraid to lead.

I assess that Gavin’s court vision, crafty slashing, and unselfish mindset make him a high-value guard for any college program looking for a smart playmaker with leadership instincts and a winning mentality.

Expect Gavin to continue moving up as he strengthens his defensive game and builds on his scoring ability. With his composure, feel for the game and competitive drive, he can guide a team deep into the postseason and has the potential to carve out a bright future at the next level. Stay tuned.
