Cade’s commitment to Eastern Kentucky is more than just another signing, but the culmination of grit, fire, and unshakable belief. With the skill to impact the game in every way, he’s long been seen as the kind of competitor who can change the course of a program. EKU won him over not just with its basketball vision, but with the feeling of family. On his visit, everything clicked: the people, the culture, the trust. It wasn’t about hype or flash, but about finding a place that felt like home, where he could grow both on and off the court.
The road to this moment wasn’t easy. With offers and attention from all directions, the decision carried weight, but stepping on EKU’s campus erased the doubts. That clarity was earned through years of staying locked in, motivated by the doubters and fueled by the believers. He channeled every ounce of that energy into proving he belonged, never shying away from the grind. He poured himself into the game because he loves it, and that genuine passion has carried him through the noise, the pressure, and the expectations.
The battles were real. Coaching changes at the high school level could have rattled him, but instead, he embraced them as lessons, sharpening his ability to adapt and lead. Through adversity, he learned to stand firm, keep growing, and trust that the work would always pay off. With his senior season ahead, he has one mission left on the high school floor: lead his team to a ring and leave behind a legacy of toughness, character, and relentless drive.
At the center of it all is faith and family. He wouldn’t be here without either. His parents have been the steady support system, guiding him through the highs and lows, sacrificing, and pouring into his dream so he could chase it fully. His Catholic community has uplifted him with love and encouragement. And above all, he gives the glory to God. He calls himself forever in debt to his Savior, fully aware that every blessing is a gift from above. His humility flows from the belief that we’re all here on God’s earth for a purpose, and while the journeys may look different, no one’s path is greater than another. That perspective has kept him grounded in the spotlight, humble in success, and focused on using his gifts the right way.
Now, with EKU, there’s the chance to impact more than just the stat sheet. His work ethic, the extra hours, the consistency, and the willingness to go harder than anyone else will set a tone that rubs off on teammates and helps shape the culture. He’s not stepping onto campus to blend in; he’s stepping in to make everyone around him better.
For the next generation chasing the same dream, his advice is to fall in love with the process. If you pour into it with everything you have, it will give back. But if you fake it, the game will expose you. That honesty has defined his climb from small-town standout to DI signee. For him, this commitment isn’t just about basketball, but a dream come true. In a town where DI players are rare, he’s proof that the combination of faith, family, and relentless work can make the impossible possible.
As he closes this chapter, he looks back with gratitude. He thanks God for the blessings, his family for their sacrifices, his Catholic community, and his coaches for always being in his corner. Looking ahead, he promises EKU is getting a competitor who is willing to outwork anyone, who is dying to win, and who will do whatever it takes for the program to succeed.
I assess that His work ethic, humility, and two-way competitiveness will immediately raise the standard inside EKU’s program. He brings more than talent; he brings the culture of a grinder who knows how to fight through adversity and come out stronger. His faith and character make him not just a recruit, but a cornerstone.
The future at EKU is bright with him in the fold. Expect him to grow into a leader by example, one whose hunger to win and willingness to sacrifice anything for his team sets the tone. His dream may be realized, but his fire is only beginning. This is a commitment built on trust, belief, and an unstoppable drive to make his mark.
